He deliberately asked offensive questions about whether Chinese people eat cats and dogs, arbitrarily judged others and attributed differences of opinion to age. He also made vulgar and insulting remarks targeting Chinese women, which amounted to verbal harassment. His inappropriate comments include: "Do you eat cats?" "Do you eat dogs?" "I know why Chinese women in their 30s stay single — because you have premarital sex and don’t need to get married." "You can’t understand this just because you’re in your 30s and your mind is outdated." "I wonder why Chinese women are so easy?" He also made lewd jokes with yogurt. Besides, he mocked a Chinese male tourist for his poor English, saying openly: "How can he travel abroad with such bad English?"

Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The availability of coffee throughout the day is great. Location is ideal, close enough to main road for eateries, walks, catching taxis, bit quiet enough to be silent at night. Very nice decor inside and you can feel they're trying to make it good for travellers.

The 4 bed dorm is a bit cramped. Mattresses are futon-type, which means they're pretty solid, so it's not the most comfortable. The main issue is the bathrooms, they need better ventilation and better cleaning, as almost every time I went in, there was toilet paper spilling over from the bins, left on the floor and around the basins. If they sort them out, it would definitely increase the score.

Most of the staff were really nice, mainly the owner and the chefs. They were friendly and added to the vibe of the hostel. The common area and the outdoor courtyard were brilliant too. The breakfast was really great too.

The beds are extremely uncomfortable. If you are taller than like 5ft 5 you're gonna be uncomfortable. I had a very hard time sleeping. Also, while I praise most of the staff I can say that some staff were genuinely rude.
