Riverside country retreat with easy access to all that Houston has to offer

Hello, getting into the property went well.

When we first arrived, it didn't take us any time at all to determine that the air conditioning was not working. We contacted the property manager; he said it was running fine when he was at the property earlier that day. To that I say boulder dash! I have my doubts that the person I was actually speaking to was even in the same zip code, if so, why wasn't he at our door early in the morning to check things out. He kept on asking us to send him photos, most about how the settings were on the thermostat. My husband took a walk around the property, took pictures that showed solid ice/frost on the A/C unit outside. He also believed that the filter that was in the attic was likely needing a change. He managed to get a couple of service men to the house, & they concurred that we gave a good diagnosis. When we saw the old filter from the attic it was black. The A/C needs to have the leaves cleaned out also. As the Houston area is already having nearly summertime heat and the humidity was off the chart - we knew we could not remain there. We were grateful for the repair! The front entry way very dirty & most of the flowers were dead. There wasn't any additional toilet paper in the master bedroom (so glad I bring my own). It took the hot water a very, very long time to come through any of the faucets. The sheets on the master bedroom were very wrinkled, had some spots on the bottom sheet, and in general it looked like a 5-year-old made the bed. There was only one hand towel for the kitchen, zero potholders. This was the least appointed kitchen I have ever booked on any sight. All of the light fixtures and switches were like trying to solve a puzzle. I searched several ways to start the dish washer, I finally realized there was a light switch on the wall you had to turn on first, then you could start the dish washer. There was no light in the fridge.
