Some language barriers as neither my brother- in-law or myself spoke Italian and host didn't speak English but thankfully her husband was able to help and was very kind and welcoming. Check in was a bit confused as daughter - who also couldn't speak English - was sent with keys. We believed she had taken our passport photos and city tax , but then got urgent messages the next day suggesting we hadn't provided these . We initially walked from the train station .Google maps possibly took us through a not so nice area of Bologna to reach the flat which wasn't a great start but keeping to the main streets we felt quite safe. Currently had scaffolding up so unable to open many of the shutters , so all seemed very dark and airless

Very nice comfortable two bedroom apartment in a very quiet part of the university district. Spacious, nicely appointed, quality linens and towels, coffee and sugar an added bonus to a well stocked kitchen. Nice sun filled apartment with nice tall windows and lovely views of the neighborhood. The only negative was the heat was on and the thermostat didn't seem to lower the temperature so I had to open the windows which felt wasteful.

The apartment was very quiet and in a great location that was about a 15 minute walk to everything including Piazza Maggiore. We felt very safe in this neighborhood on the edge of the university area. Great pastry shop just around the corner (3 minutes away) for coffee and a croissant on San Vitale. The only time we took public transportation was to the train station. Apartment was comfortable and well-outfitted. It was nice to have a washing machine and a clothesline for our one week stay. We had all the dishes we needed to cook in the apartment. There was one short set of external stairs to the apartment which were very easy to use (and we are an elderly couple). The host Benedetta was extremely responsive and kind. Highly recommend this apartment.

Everything was great. Sometimes heard people in apartment above, but wasn’t an issue for sleeping.

We like a flat very much during our stay in Bologna . Clean and comfortable , located in calm place in the center . Will definitely come back .
