Self-contained, private entrance, near city centre

Location was good, 10 minute walk to centre and nice pub at end of the road

Very steep stairs down to property. Bathroom sink very small and difficult to shave in for male guest. Smelt damp and didn't feel very clean, especially shower and kettle. Mattress in main bedroom very uncomfortable. House plants were dead and garden unkempt. Access to second bed difficult due to steep ladder, anyone with any form of mobility issue/over certain age would struggle to access property and second bed due to stairs. Stated as sleeps 3 to 4 and after booking message received explaining this isn't the case so feel the description should be amended as had 3rd guest decided to stay as originally planned, the property didn't accommodate this. Felt the cost of 240 pounds for 2 nights in this property was far too high given the facilities and layout. Have stayed in a number of Air B&B's and this was the poorest in terms of quality of accommodation vs cost. Unfortunately would not stay again or recommend to others.

Not sure about WiFi, might have been my fault. Booking.com hard to access don't know if there were more details but phone coverage was poor as a lower ground flat.

Great location handy for city centre, bus routes, very quiet. Access arangements simple. Fresh milk left in fridge. Kitchen well equipped

Overall cleanliness not great, towels rolled up and damp, shower room smelt of mildew and probably reason why towels were damp. Oven works, but the small oven which we used has a fault. The temperature was not controlled by the thermostat and just continued to get hotter. One of our party has allergy issues and had difficulty sleeping, we wonder if the owners pets have access to this area. As pets are not allowed, we assumed there would be no allergy issues. The property access and shower room is only accessible from the front bedroom. It might be helpful if this information was added to the description.

1). Bed was broken. Owner knew this and didn't bother telling us. Bed collapsed under me twice when sitting down. I have mobility problems and this caused an increase in pain. We managed to fix it by jamming dishcloths between the slats, to stop them from moving about in the bed frame. 2).Decking was rotten by the front door. My walking stick went through it followed by my foot when I tried to stop myself from falling over. Again he knew this area was rotten and said he was waiting for it to dry out before tackling repair, but didn't see fit to place any warning. He told my husband on our last day that he knew about both of these issues, but didn't see fit to warn us eventhough he saw I relied on a walking aid on our first day. 3).Cooker didn't work. 4).Shower drain was blocked. 5). No window coverings at the back of the property, eventhough the visible path at the side of the house is used by the owners to access their garden. I had messaged the owner with my concerns and he hasn't bothered to respond. Won't be staying again.

Large space in the apartment and very well equipped kitchen.

The instructions to the entrance door could be a bit clearer.

Apartment warm (loved the heated floor) & looked really welcoming on our arrival and it contained everything we needed & more for our stay - milk, cereal, tea & coffee, parking permits, city literature etc. Great location for us as an easy 5 minute drive to UEA Sportspark, a 5 minute walk to Tesco Express and only approx. 15 minutes walk into town. Would happily stay again in future.
