5 Glantraeth Farm Cottage

The communication with the owners was good. There was a welcome pack with tea, coffee and welsh cakes, which was much appreciated. The house is spacious, the living spaces were clean. It is situated on a farm, and surrounded by quiet countryside. There are games and books in the house.

The hot water is only available at certain times of day. So no hot shower in the afternoon. Bedsheets are provided, but towels aren't. It's in the description, so I knew about it, but it would have been nice not to have to bring my own. There was black mold in the shower. We found the sofa and chairs too soft, but of course that is just our personal taste.

Easy to park, big cottage, private patio, south facing, kitchen well equipped, very tasty welcome gesture (welsh cakes), comfy sofas, plenty of information on local places, books/dvd's/toys. If I stayed in Anglesey again, this would be my preferred place to stay. It's close to the wedding venue Henblas, which was our reason for travelling but also only 15/20 min away from the bridge, either side of which there were lots of places to visit.

The hot water was timed, from 8 to 9 in the morning and a few hours in the late afternoon. This was unusual and inconvenient as you have to plan your day around it (if you don't like cold showers). The place welcomes dogs which is lovely but I wonder whether it is possible to get rid of all the dog hairs (e.g. in the sofas) as I really struggled with my allergies which is unusual.

Le cottage est bien situé, il permet d'explorer facilement à la fois le littoral d'Anglesey et le parc de Snowdonia. Il est propre et confortable. Belle vue depuis la terrasse. Un lave-linge commun est disponible dans un local proche du cottage.

Les chambres ne sont pas isolées du bruit des locataires du cottage d'à côté.

Shared garden, there was a massive dog poo right outside our back door when we first arrived which we removed and every time I cleaned up after my dog, there would be someone else’s dog poo lying around, so was cleaning up other peoples dog mess as well. Lack of fundamental items in kitchen - hand wash, hand towels, cooking oil etc. After staying in half a dozen self catering cottages/apartments on Anglesey over the last few years, this was the first time those items were not supplied

Communication from owner was v good.The bungalow was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable , shower was hot. There were some toys for the children. Outside seating/ dining area ( tho it was too windy during our stay) Easy parking. Not far to beaches. Quick response to problem with no hot water quickly resolved Welsh cakes as a welcome

More toilet rolls some sugar, salt and pepper we had taken provisions but its nice to have these simple things ( which we hadn't taken) provided. A large saucepan ( for 4 people) Towels are not provided, though when I queried this was told these could be made available , tho in the end we did take our own anyway. Minor things I know, frustrating but didn't spoil the holiday. Otherwise all was absolutely fine.

Nice location, neat and tidy conversion everything worked as it should. Very quite and peaceful.

Nice cottage in a good location on the island, handy for accessing all the main attractions. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect - we even had an air fryer in the kitchen, which was a surprising addition. Plenty of walks around the farm for morning and evening walkies for our dog too. We enjoyed our stay with and would stay again if on the island.

The central heating was automatic set so couldn’t always be easily adjusted - despite the instructions. One night we were very hot and had to open the door to cool us down a bit. Other nights were fine though.
