Beautiful very well maintained period property set within lovely grounds; very peaceful and quiet

Bath water wasn’t hot and didn’t flow in our attic room

Words simply cannot begin to express the beauty of this manor. We had the pleasure of staying in the Stables for 1 night which was so beautifully and stylishly decorated with an Incredible open shower. You’re surrounded by beauty no matter where you are on the grounds, as if you had been transported to a Jane Austen novel. Every member of staff were incredible and so welcoming and friendly, allowing us to feel at home and relaxed during our stay. They even encouraged the use of the piano which my partner thoroughly enjoyed and played for hours. We stayed for 1 night and spent our time exploring the house, the church, the gardens (absolutely breathtaking) and being mesmerised by the array of peacocks, hens, chicks, ducks and alpacas. There are not many venues where you can do nothing and still be entertained and blown away, Gileston manor is the exception. Simply sitting in the garden is an experience in itself. We even came across a giant wooden swing with a sea view which further encouraged the feeling of being in a fairytale. I cannot recommend this venue enough, words do no justice.

Breakfast was good and the location is superb.

We did not get the room we booked and had to settle for a smaller room

No cooked breakfast and having to decide the night before what you wanted. Table too small and nothing cleared away whilst you were eating.

The only thing i would change would be id like the option of a full english breakfast
