Lovely decor, very homely and well presented with many thoughtful touches. Beautifully clean.

Stairs are very steep and a larger bed would have been welcome

Everything was perfect! So cosy and spotlessly clean. We have never stayed anywhere so well equipped, Elaine- our host- has literally thought of everything…and then some! The kitchen had everything one could possibly need- from appliances to essentials such as tea, coffee, milk biscuits etc, to a freezer drawer full of ice pops and lollies for the little ones. There was an array of beach stuff- buckets and spades, balls, windbreakers- I could go on and on. Our Granddaughters bedroom was a child’s paradise- everything beach/ pirate themed, a wardrobe full of dressing up clothes and toys, games, books, pencils- again I could go on, suffice to say if any guests are unlucky with the weather the children will never be bored! Comfortable beds, quiet location 2 minutes from the beach, perfect! We will definitely return to this gem- and our Granddaughter can’t wait!

It was very comfortable and was very family friendly. We loved all the toys and this made our son very happy. It is always difficult ensuring a holiday is suitable for a special needs child. Elaine has thought this out very well and with so much detail.

Great location

After forgetting most of the basic stuff we needed after rushing off, we found almost everything in the property. It was in a great location and the the town had everything to keep us entertained, despite the weather. Had a great time.

The Bolt Hole was quite possibly the most well thought out and equipped place we've ever stayed. Very spacious and spotless house, everywhere we looked we found little thoughtful helpful and practical additions, far exceeded anywhere we've been before. The kitchen was extremely well stocked, the house itself was a bit of a tardis considering the coastal houses aren't known for being large, the setup and layout down stairs was brilliant, loved the separate dining room. The kids bedroom was the cherry on the top however, having a neurodivergent daughter this was important, I've never seen a kids room so perfect for those with additional needs. The sheer amount of toys alone were worth the money, and meant that on a lazy morning we could have a lie in as we'd hear her bouncing away playing with the pirate ships, dressed up as a captain and imagination playtime, then a game of darts before bed, before settling down with the projector for an under the sea experience. We personally loved the living room space, really comfortable and made evening downtime much more enjoyable. We didn't get to use the little outside area as the weather was very much February, but I imagine it would be perfect in summer! Elaine was a fantastic host and was so attentive to our needs and wanting to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! We have already said we want to book to come back again!

We were a little worried about the ventilation in the bathroom thinking after having a long shower but with a window open it dried up really quickly!

Good location for an amazing beach and lots of local places to visit. On street parking outside the door. Spacious house. Well kitted out kitchen. Clean and nicely decorated. Great outdoor space for better weather. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. Warm and cozy space.

Nothing to dislike. (Couldn't find any scissors, maybe didn't look hard enough)
