The Pod at Avonwood House

It’s lovely, cosy and secluded. Great host and lovely touches to welcome guests.

The lights outside didn’t work on half of the garden so was a little disappointed. The hot tub is also the wrong way around so where you would normally step into there is no step which can be very dangerous. No tv just WiFi working.Cats cried by the windows the whole stay. The mattress is also to small for the bed frame, this caused a big gap and our pillows constantly fell down the gap during the night.

Stunning Pod. The host was so friendly and met us to check we had everything we needed but then left us completely secluded. The hot tub is gorgeous and the pod and surroundings are so quiet. Gorgeous little chatty farm cat and ponies too! A real little haven perfectly located just outside of Bath.

Everything, the facilities were well built and very comfortable and clean, the hot tub and mood lighting were fantastic

The bed, not as comfortable as some hotels. But this is a minor point.

Lovely stay! Nice and cosy.. amazing soft bed! Would love to know the type of bedding used on the bed?

We arrived later than expected, it was dark and had small difficulty finding it (was nice and secluded)

Lovely big hot tub and garden, very high spec. We were worried about the road noise but the windows were great and it was lovely and peaceful. Good location and generally done really well, lovely welcome pack with Prosecco

Wifi and flatscreen tv were advertised but there was no wifi in the pod. We were planning to watch a rugby World Cup match but the tv was not connected to terrestrial tv, only via the internet, and the internet didn’t work. The workaround from the owner was to have the front door open, but given it was a cold night in October that didn’t really work. The tv was also very small. There was no blind or curtain on the front door so at night could see the bright outside light and the sun in the morning. And would suggest they invest in a toaster and some crockery and cutlery - we had to eat our cereal out of a mug with a fork!

Everything at the property was very modern and clean, very nice place to be
