LoughView BED & BREAKFAST

From the start of the booking communication between us and our host was fantastic. The location of the property was within 5-10 mins walk of the main city centre and very easy to navigate thanks to the information left by our host. The property had everything you would need, and there was plenty of room. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of it! We felt very safe within the property and with the extra element of having coded entry added to this, along with a quiet location away from the city life.

We had the property to ourselves and although there is another room plus bathroom we don't really know how we would feel sharing with strangers? That said this is a great set up for 2 couples or a family. It would be the only thing we would consider if we rebooked this property.

Great location. Pleasant walk into town and local attractions along the river. The room and common area of the lounge and kitchen were spacious and comfortable. Hosts are friendly, helpful, and very generous with breakfast tray and snacks.

Could not fault the place.

The flat was clean and tidy and furnishings satisfactory and comfortable. Everything worked. Labelling for the equipment and comestibles for both rooms in the flat to access without confusion. Access to the City achieved in reasonable time and directions provided accurate. Welcome leaflet stating wifi codes and local attraction well laid out and succinct.

This was not a typical B&B and not what we expected. If you understand what is on offer an it suits you this will be fine. We did not and it was not what we wanted. In reality this is a flat share with someone you do not know. This was a surprise to us. We wrongly interpreted a private bathroom as an en suite and not a bathroom across the hallway. Breakfasts was a pre-packaged tray of breads and & croissants not always of wonderful quality I would have said. Do not expect this to be served as suggested on the information left - you are left to serve yourself. There were a good range of cereals and sufficient yoghurts for the day. Access is reasonably described in the texts but beware the steep steps up to the doors. Street car parking only and not a comfortable feel for this. We had to hover in the street looking very suspicious for 15 minutes to find a space.

Lovely clean rooms. All very newly decorated with interesting artwork etc comfortable dining area with all we needed

We had the communal area to ourselves as no one was staying in the other bedroom at the time. . We would maybe have not felt comfortable having to share the property although we had our own bathroom and dressing gowns were provided

Plenty of food and drink and location very clean

Don't like to share with other people if they arrived

Proximity to city

The room was nice and very comfortable. We did not realize that we did not have our personal bathroom. It was a shared bathroom with other guests. Fortunately for us we were the only ones staying there the night of our stay or it would have been very awkward. The food choices for breakfast were good.

The location and area was dicey and made us a bit uncomfortable.

only problem we had was the view from the room, we had expected a view of the river/lough!! all we had was a view of the building opposite, not sure if this was an oversight on out part, STILL would recommend the B&B
