The location was fantastic. Absolutely beautiful setting like going back in time. Such a cute neighborhood and wonderful walking path.

Great location. Host is very nice and informative regarding the area. Helpful with restaurant recommendations. House is very nice size, extremely clean and the falls across the street were a bonus. Would stay again if I visit the area!

Dickeyville is a charming little suburban hamlet of historic homes. The location is very charming and the historic neighborhood is special. The House on Gwynns Falls is sweetly decorated but more transparence about the details of the property and stay are needed. It was not suitable for us and we left for a hotel after a couple of hours.

Our interaction with the host, felt off from the start and we were correct. After only an hour inside the house we realized the space wasn't going to work for my wife on her crutches and broken foot. The mainfloor bathroom was very far from the living space. In facts it's through a doored connected hallway that connects 'our' area of the house to the hosts area of the house. When I booked I thought we were going to be in the property independently but that is not the case. The hosts lives on the property in the Gwynn Falls house which is not clearly advertised. Many times the host brought up keeping the heat at 61 in the old drafty house in Feb winter. The hallway my wife needed to crutch through to get to the bathroom, which was also where I could access the backyard for the dogs, had no heat. While there is a bed on the first floor (twin), I was hoping my wife could make it upstairs but that's not the reality of the space. To any future guests staying at this property, note that the stairs are tight, steep with a low ceiling and curve. While there's not many steps it will still be a challenge for some. Lastly, the TV which we were told opperated on a firestick, was not opperable. As in there was no firestick, the tv did not even have acess to local cable TV and we had to operate it using the buttons on the TV, as the remote was missing batteries. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but with my wife's foot broken, she was planning to hunker down in the living room, since her mobility is limited and she couldn't get upstairs. With all these factors, we decided moving to an ADA hotel was a better choice for us. When I reached out to the host I was told no refund of any kind would be offered and told that her business is struggling and she needed to keep the money. Even the $50 extra dollars I paid on site for a late check out the following day that we obviously didn't use. ** A note to future travelers booking.
