Svingen Guesthouse - Panoramic Fjord Views in Flåm

Todo. Cogimos una habitación doble con vistas, y ha sido una pasada despetarse viendo el fiordo. La casa estaba muy limpia y la dueña muy amable y atenta en todo momento.

L'emplacement, la vue sur les fjords depuis la chambre et la gentillesse du personnel.

Le chauffage fait du bruit pendant la nuit et c'est peu insonorisé (on entend beaucoup les déplacements à l'étage du dessus et dans les escaliers)

I've stayed at lots of places and can say this was one of the best. Great and friendly staff, wonderful location, and excellent value.

A nice and cosy guesthouse. Cathy was very friendly and gave us a mini tour of the place upon check-in. Easy walk along the shore line on the boardwalk from Flam Visitor Centre towards Flam Marina. Up a slight slope but not issue as we did not have large luggages with us. View from our room was wonderful. Room size is good and comes with a sink which makes it very convenient for us. Shared bathrooms and toilets were not an issue either. Bed was comfortable too. Shared areas like the kitchen, dining (several available) and lounge areas were beautifully decorated. Feels so much being at home.

Where to begin! My stay here was perfect in every way. An absolutely blissful way to spend a few days near in Flåm. The property was in easy walking distance of the Flåm railway as well as the floating sauna. I didn’t appreciate before booking that this property is family-run, but it really shows through the kindness and attention to detail I experienced for the entirety of my stay. The family were always at the property should I have any questions, and also had some great recommendations of activities in the area, they also kept on top of the cleaning throughout the day so the entire property was spotless the entire time I was there. Regarding check in, this was swift and very easy. I highly recommend booking a room with a Fjord view as the scenery was breathtaking. My room was comfortable, private and impeccably clean. The bed was also incredibly comfortable with a lovely warm duvet and soft pillow. I have noticed some other reviews mention the shared bathrooms but I was expecting this before arrival and had no issues whatsoever. The bathrooms, like the rest of the property were spotlessly clean and I was always able to use a bathroom even when the property was busy. I appreciated the generous kitchen with cupboard space, and it was particularly welcome that there was coffee/tea available when I arrived :) The communal spaces were also comfortable and kept very tidy - I loved the retro/vintage interior design of the whole property too! There was also a few spaces a short distance down the road to park my car which was ideal. To top it all off we were lucky enough to see the northern lights from the balcony one night! Needless to say I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks again! :)

N/A - however I just wanted to mention that I have seen a few other reviews mention thin walls/hearing people in adjacent rooms. I was at times able to faintly hear people talking next door but I didn’t find this to be problematic, no more than in any normal hotel. And as always when travelling, bring earplugs and this eliminates this issue altogether!

La vue magnifique de la chambre qui donne sur le fjord, l’hôte est très sympathique et arrangeante, la cuisine est très bien équipée, je recommande vivement :)

The guesthouse is conveniently located and has stunning fjord views. The staff are welcoming and make the experience feel like a home setting. The kitchen is well stocked so you could cook your meals and use the shared refrigerator. Although most rooms were occupied, the house was quiet, and the shared bathroom facilities were readily available. Our bedroom (a corner room with fjord views) was large and we slept very well!
