Liiiving in Porto - Bolhão Trendy Apartments

The location was great. Central to the city with an amazing market opposite and plenty of restaurants, bars, shops etc close by

The apartment appears to have been heated by a gas boiler in the past but this no longer works. So the bathroom has a towel radiator that no doesn't work. No heating in the bathroom. (We were there in December). There is an electric powered heating/cooling unit in the hall that supplies air to the hall and living room. Except that it doesn't supply hot air (I turned it up to 28° and made sure it was in heating mode) There was a small electric plug in radiator in the bedroom. But that didn't work. I quickly informed the host that it wasn't working and then sent a photo to show the broken and bare wires (it was v clear why it wasn't working!). We were there for 4 nights, they eventually brought a new one on the 4th evening. There are codes supplied to get in the front door and then the apartment. Front door worked, apartment door not. The gentleman on the number supplied did not speak English (on other occasions when I called this number, there was no answer). Staff were very slow to respond to text messages or e mails I sent them. Fridge freezer not working so a small fridge left on the floor in the living room. The floor in front of this was not clean. We were three, no towels supplied for the 3rd guest.

Location. Just this unfortunately.

The place was messy. Pieces of food on the table, stains everywhere. Many long black hair on the sofa. The bathroom did stink. I looked amazing in the pictures but poor in real. I didn't feel good there because of the way of cleanness. I paid a lot for these 2 nights and I don't recommend anyone to go for it. If I was not tired when I arrived I would ask to be moved somewhere. Mostly for the amount of money I paid for this flat.

The location was great. Lots of restaurants and bars close by.

It was a little dirty for my taste, i would definitely change the cleaning agency. And unfortunately very noisy because they were working outside in the period we stood there

The apartment was modern, clean and what we expected, with a comfortable bed. The communication was quick and clear, and we were notified that we were able to move in earlier than the check in time which was handy. The location was good with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants nearby, as well as a nice market across the road.

There were building works nearby which began at 9am and were quite loud, but of course this is not in the owners control and did not disturb us too much.

The apartment is located right down the city centre, at an extremely convenient location. I was slightly worried when I saw that we would be accommodated on floor -1, but it turned out that this was not below street level as the city architecture is obviously not level. It was well lit and had a nice terrace. The apartment itself was modern, equipped with everything necessary for a nice stay. The hosts were responsive and helpful as well.

The only remark I have is that the hosts couldn't accommodate our request for an early check-in as we were to arrive 1.5 hours earlier than 15:30, but I understand that this can't always happen.

Excellent stay, highly recommend it! The apartment looked as expected; the location was great; kitchen well equiped; communication with rental company great.

Slight bit of noise from the street below on saturday evening while sleeping in the living room. But no problem if you have ear buds, I still slept great.
