East Learmouth Lakeside Lodges - Larch Lodge

The facilities were great. Perfect break for a couple.

Surprise for my husband’s birthday and we loved the closeness of the lodge to the lake, wildlife all around , hot tub , cosy lodge ,private and a great place to just unwind.

Nothing really , If I had to think of anything it would be nice to have some solar lights by the hot tub.

It was clean and excellent quality

Clean and pleasantly presented. There were enough towels, robes for the hot tub etc. bed was very comfortable. The lake and wildlife are beautiful and the front decking space was a lovely area to sit in the sun watching the birds. Hot tub clean and ready on arrival and the complimentary wine went down well. Easy to access and good communication from the property prior to arrival. Nice secluded location but still accessible for days out etc

No freezer/mini freezer in the fridge. We had brought a cool box though and just popped to a shop for some ice to keep it cool and it seen us through the few days we were there. Also lots of flys and spiders and on arrival we noticed lots of cobwebs with flys stuck on them on outdoor furniture (as expected in the middle of nowhere) however they didn’t look like they’d been removed in a while. The bug zapper inside the cabin did really help on an evening
