Mansao Curtorim - A CGH Earth SAHA Experience

I stayed for one night at Mansao Curtorim – A CGH Earth SAHA Experience, and from the moment I arrived, I felt as though I had stepped back in time, in the very best way. The setting is exceptional, a beautifully restored ancestral Goan home with unique antique wooden furniture, spotless rooms, and shared spaces that invite you to slow down rather than rush through. The balcão, shared living room space, and garden areas are all impeccably maintained and full of quiet character. The architecture was a major reason I chose to stay here, and it exceeded expectations, authentic, elegant, and deeply atmospheric. The village surroundings are tranquil, with birdsong and a sense of calm that’s increasingly rare. What truly set this stay apart was the feeling of being a guest, not a customer. While still en route to the property in my driver’s car, I received a phone call asking what I might like for lunch. That small but thoughtful gesture set the tone for everything that followed. Time genuinely slowed down here. The food was a highlight. I didn’t even look at a menu. After a brief conversation about dietary requirements, I simply trusted the kitchen, and I was rewarded with beautifully prepared, traditional Goan dishes. Not knowing what would arrive next only enhanced the experience. Each meal felt home style, confident, and deeply local, I was born in Ireland, and this was important to me as a tourist in India for the 2nd year in a row. I want to make special mention of Mr. Nazeem Shaikh, the manager, who embodies the spirit of this place. He sat with me during check in, and we had a warm, unhurried conversation about what I hoped to get from my stay and my time in South Goa. He was calm, attentive, thoughtful, and exceptionally well informed. He assisted with arranging private transport, offered excellent local recommendations, and consistently anticipated needs without ever being intrusive. One small example says everything.

Lovely property. Old portuguese heritage villa that is very well maintained. The perfect place to to relax and unwind if you looking for quiet, peaceful break. Excellent service from the staff. They looked after us very well. The food was very good. We had a good fish thali for lunch.

Nothing. We enjoyed our stay. Not the place if you are looking for access to a swimming pool, beach.

An exceptional place to rest, recharge and enjoy South Goa. The attention to the beauty of the physical environment of the villa, the service provided and the food made for memorable moments daily!

The location is beautiful! It’s peaceful and calm. One can come to Goa to experience just the Slow life “Susegad” here in Curtorim. Rooms are spacious & clean. The lunch Thalis ( Fish) are excellent and cooked using locally sourced ingredients! The crockery for every meal is different and beautiful, the table settings done by the team is on point! Since I was celebrating my birthday here the team got me a lovely cake and a bouquet!

Dinner options were not that great! Except for the Portuguese style potato soup! They should have more variety!

The location was calm, cut off from hustle and bustle of the city and peaceful. It was remote and surrounded by a quaint village, beautiful church and a lake.

The place needs a pool (which I understand is work in progress), and maybe inhouse bike rentals.

A tranquil, lush escape from tourist Goa! Scenic 200year old Portuguese villa with garden views, vintage furniture, art decor and library. Ingredients for food are grown on the property or secured locally. Saliuddin, Priscilla, Melvira and Nazeem were very helpful.

Being at a distance from popular tourist sites, be sure to keep a car with you for the day, if venturing out for sightseeing.
