"clean flat, poorly kept communal area"

the flat itself was very clean

the entrance to the flat was awful. it was dirty, concrete stairs, it gave a really poor first impression. i was also unimpressed by the lock on the front door of the flat. i was staying alone and it was a very basic lock, not the 5 lever mortice lock I am accustomed to. i would not have booked this had I known this in advance, being a solo traveller I would like to feel secure, and really didn’t.
