Beautiful 3BD Family Retreat in Oxfordshire

The location and outlook. The bed was very cosy. The charm of the cottage.

On the listing the pictures of the cottage might need updating, highlighting the exterior views. The kettle was peeling on the inside, so we did not feel comfortable using. We were disappointed that the fireplace was not in use and this was not mentioned before. The right side of the bed in the main bedroom was dipping in the middle, the mattress may need replacing.

Every room had at least 3 signs telling you what to do, what not to do. They said,'Do not use the blinds as they are broken' - I think they need to mend the blinds! I think they need a downstairs toilet for ease.

The beds were comfortable. Toys provided were great for our Grandson.

Unsightly pile of rubbish and recycling on arrival. No welcome pack or message just a series of messages on chalk boards in every room warning of and forbidding things. We have never felt less welcome in a property. The lounge furniture is barely adequate for 4 adults and children. The kitchen was adequate but only had a small table for 2 and was not as they describe the ‘hub’ of the house. The bath curtains were bothersome, a walk in shower would be much better. At £739 for three nights it should have offered more. It is very tired and in need of maintenance. We had to clean the high chair, the outside patio table and the summerhouse furniture. We were in two minds about asking for a refund. Overall disappointing.

The view out of the back kitchen window and from the garden is incredible. Just so relaxing and the swing in the back garden is adorable. The baby gates and child amenities/ toys were such a bonus and made it so much easier to enjoy the space and feel at home.

Beautiful home in a wonderful location . Every need catered for and very good communication from hosts . Highly recommend!

Brilliant location. Clean comfortable and welcoming

There was nothing that was wrong

I like the house. It was very light perfect where you could stay withl Family.

I thought it was a bit dusty around and the wi-fi rubbish. TV didn’t work very well and didn’t have any music😫. There were loads of notes what you should do what you shouldn’t do . But the haven’t put a “note “Danger‼️ the ceiling wall Four poster bedroom . I have a massive bruise on my head because of that . Picture to show you there not good.

Pretty cottage, well equipped apart from lack of hairdryer, clean warm and comfortable.

We felt more than somewhat unwelcome due to the proliferation of signs (4 in the bathroom alone) telling us what we must and must not do.
