Everything was fine and most importantly the parking pass in Washington DC was good enough to keep our car in safe place.

The cleanliness; the location; the comfort; the decor; the proximity to Capitol Hill; the appliances including no less than 3 refrigerators; the beautiful residential area...most everything. An absolutely ideal space that we would highly recommend.

Comms were a little bit problematic prior to check in. Additionally, one never knew who one was talking to as people didn't often sign their name on messaging. We were not introduced to the hosts who we eventually worked out live upstairs. Voices carried.

The basement apartment was very nice & clean. The location was great & everyone is nice in this neighborhood. Loved that! It was easy to communicate with the group in charge of this rental. The handyman was even wonderful! Everyone I communicated with was nice, respectful & helpful! Thanks!

The parking spot is very steep & narrow. The beds were too hard. The humidity in the basement made it hot & sticky. The AC was on & working, but the humidity killed it. If I have to stay here again I'm bringing a dehumidifier.

Location. Cleanliness. Spacious. Good contact with the owners who lived upstairs. Commutable by D6 & B2 Bus which is $2.25 Train is Stadium Armory $2.25 and Streetcar ( Tram) is on H street and goes from Union Station to somewhere just up and down every 15 mins and is free. Best supermarket is Whole Foods Market. It has EVERYTHING. Snacks, fantastic salad bar, if you don’t want to eat out the odd night then this is definitely the place to shop. Don’t bother with Safeway or Aldi at all. The H Street free tram will take you to it. There is some free TV channels and Netflix to login on if you are having an evening in.

Cleaner does not attend the property to provide fresh towels or fill up on tea etc etc we had to request and chase up - took 24-36 hours before we were restocked… TOP TIP - is let the host know you want however many towels and teabags etc etc BEFORE you actually arrive so you have everything you need. You can hear the dog walking around as well as the owners every morning but for us not really a problem as we were always up by 8.30am but if you want to lay in then no need to set an alarm as you will be woken up. Maybe some rugs upstairs would be a good option if it reflects the rest of the decor. We are used to a king size bed but this only has a QUEEN BED, which we found a bit small especially as it was warm at night and the AC is controlled by the owners and using the portable units were too noisy and you could not sleep. TV would have been great if it was on a swivel mount as we had to move the furniture so we could take in a movie etc. dishwasher or more crockery as over 7 days for 2 people we had to wash up.

I could not park my rental car in the drive. The car did not have enough clearance to get over the hump in the drive without scraping the bottom of the car. I found street parking across the street from the drive.

We felt right at home since we walked into the door. It was a great area and super easy to get to the Eastern Market on foot or by lime. It was also an easy to get to location by uber.
