Location was great and central for everything

Wasn't the nicest approach to the house. Door dark, flaking paint, dirty - old timber rotting in places. Inside the smell was musty and none of the downstair windows were not able to be opened, with a sign to say not to open - this may be a fire hazard. I bought a candle to lift the musty smell. The bedding, albeit clean was dated and none of the bedding matched. House could do with a deep clean. We still enjoyed our overnight in Prestwick and location was excellent.

I think the overall size of the property was great, I was more than happy about the space. There were plenty of facilities and added items that really helped our stay. The addition of the books and games in the house helped us stay entertained. The attention to detail was also very good. I liked the signs up in the kitchen that told us what switches did what as sometimes that can be confusing.

I think certain aspects could've been a tiny bit better. There was a leaking radiator in the dining room, which people kept stepping in. There was a banner up in the living room wishing someone a happy 60th birthday, which was quite funny as it was my 19th birthday the day before, but things like this made it feel like we were staying in someone's house without permission.

Where do i start!1st impression, front door badly needs re-painted.Inside small lobby hasn't been swept or cleaned in months. Through 2nd door to hallway and greeted with a dirty rug with obvious dirty footprints. Into kitchen dining area, floor looks grubby with dirty tea stains in front of sink. Island worktop looks dirty so i clean with paper towel and spray cleaner, checked paper towel afterwards and found to be very dirty. The whole floor area did not look like it had been cleaned. On closer looking there was dirt and dust in every corner and behind bins etc. Lounge looked ok but after dropping a fork between sofa sections, i lifted part of sofa to retrieve. What i saw was quite disgusting! Dirt, dust, cardboard beer sleeve, poker chip, basically signs that under sofa had not been cleaned in months! I then checked under the single black armchair (which is easily moved) and also found to be very dirty.The whole house needed a good deep clean.When i contacted host and asked if they had cleaners i was told yes. I told her i found it to be very dirty and showed her some of my photos. She said she had contacted cleaner who claimed they did a rush job as the previous group had checked out late!I asked if she could send someone out to clean, she said she could get the 'Robot' to clean the floor. As we went out for the day i saw the automatic robot cleaner start to clean the floor. On returning, it had cleaned the dirty tea stains but obviously didn't clean under sofa, chairs, behind bins or in any corners!I found a filthy cloth floor mop with spray cleaner. I had to hand wash the cloth myself before using it to clean all ground flooring to a satisfactory condition. (I didn't go under sofas).Later in week i tried to use the cordless vacuum cleaner but found this to also be disgustingly filthy and totally clogged up with dirt.One of the mattress protectors on single bed had some very dirty stains and had not been washed.

Very spacious for the 8 of us. Perfect location for th Ayr races.

One of the beds was a blow up Mattress, which we were absolutely fine with, though it was very flat after the first morning therefore unable to use again.

Small things, like how the TV worked, heating controls etc Also if they kept on top of the little issues they would have an excellent Air BnB on their hand.

Lovely big house with loads of space and the beds were really comfortable.

Hard to get a parking space nearby, for a family of 5 we only had one toilet roll to last the 2 days stay which I needed to go and buy more for as it wasn’t enough to last. Also had no washing liquid to clean dishes and the sponge that was there was dirty and hairy. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes also.
