Hotel Rivè - Complesso Turistico Campo Smith

Good location for the Frejus tunnel. A good size hotel with plenty of rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. A bar and restaurant on site plus plenty of parking on site and nearby

The rooms are a bit tired and used but everything does work and they are warm.

This hotel has it all! Hair from the previous victim (they accept dogs, so not sure I can write person) still in the shower, an airco display with a non working sytem behind it (not even ventilation... "it's about preserving the climate in the delicate environment that these mountains are") in a room at 26degr C, capuccino in paper cups for breakfast in a basement without daylight, people (however very friendly) at the reception that speak Italian and... a couple of French words. Best of all is probably the Booking sign from 2015 at the reception that shows they scored 8,5 at that time. Impressed they're still at 7,9 today

Friendly personnel. The receptionist let us flush our muddy and dusty motorcycles with a garden hose and I could give some extra stars for that. The hotel owner who happened to own the bar in the village, brought himself us back from the centrum as there were now taxi services available at all in the town! That was a nice experience to memorise and underlined the friendliness of the staff too.

The room I got had bad layout despite it was roomy and nice looking. No racks or hooks to hang outer garment. The wardrobe was in the corner blocked with the bed so that you had to thread yourself to access it. Big room, big nice looking bathroom but everything was placed a bit oddly. Coming out from shower stall and bathtub safely required some logical thinking and problem solving among agility. My friend's room was better what comes to wardrobe but he complaint also the room layout and functionality. Breakfast was ok but it was little bit funny to follow male waiters some dressed to bowties organising and serving throwaway paper cups and single packed preserves etc.
