Searenity Vacation Home I by An Island Apart

I have travelled a lot around the world over the last 25 years or so, staying mainly in numerous holiday flats. Many of them were good, some were excellent, but Searenity beats them all. I could list a few tiny points of criticism here too, but that would lead to a false overall impression when reading. All in all, it was the best stay in holiday accommodation I have ever had. And special thanks to Rita for the homemade cake.

Only two tips: You really should have a rental car to stay here. You are more in the nature than the newly built houses suggest. That's why you shouldn't have any problems with small black centipedes, for example.

We had a tremendously enjoyable stay and relaxed with a beautiful view of the ocean. The hostess was super friendly and surprised us with a basket of traditional Madeira products and a basket of fruit upon our arrival. And later on she surprised us with an incredibly delicious orange sponge cake. Our stay will remain unforgettable.

Everything was more than perfect.

The accommodation is outstanding. Very clean, well-equipped kitchen, lovely pool area. Hosts were amazing and provided a lovely welcome basket. Will definitely return.

Nothing, the place was perfect.

We give this a 9.....but clicked on the wrong number and then couldnt change it! Spacious property with an amazing view. The house had everything we needed....even a coffee machine! The host is lovely too.9 This really is a great place to stay.

Building work next door meant we felt unable to use the pool or terrace during the day as there was no privacy. However, we feel that the good points of Searenity 1 far outweigh this one negative. One other point to mention is you really do need a car if you are staying here. Not a negative but important.

Amazing property! From the moment we arrived there we were greeted with respect and intimacy, the lady who runs the property was so sweet and offered so much help with anything she could, from recommendations, to food and supplies on arrival when supermarkets were closed without us even having to ask them. The house is extremely clean and modern, the bathrooms had high quality showers and toilets, a lot of space and high quality supplies such as soap and etc … All of the rooms had fully working thick courtains for my deep sleep friends, air conditioning, power outlets on 230v and comfortable beds, and of course an epic view. The Kitchen had modern electronics, the house includes thick walls for temperature isolation and has an amazing view to the Atlantic Ocean. The Pool temperature was perfect even in September! But the most important of all is the fact of how quiet it is there, it’s perfect to relax on a Sunday afternoon 🤩 The only small downside, is that it is relatively far from Funchal (20-35 mins)
