Finest Retreats - Nicely Tucked Away Cottage

Friendly hosts and lovely cottage in a pleasant, quiet village. Easy to get to Plymouth on the ferry.

The showers/bath. Rather slippery and not much water pressure in the shower.

The cottage was fantastic, with its comfortable furniture and bedding, top of the line kitchen facilities, fancy toiletries and the added fun additions such as the retro gaming system, the PS5, the wide-screen TV and the pool table really made us feel like we got our moneys worth. Also, the owners are some of the most friendliest people that I've ever had the pleasure of meeting; any queries that needed to be asked or assistance that was needed, they were always there to lend a hand 😃

We had trouble getting the shower on the ground floor to work ( which was an issue as we were in a rush to use it at the time). Also, I don't think another streetlight or two would hurt, especially on the road leading to the cottage ( it can be rather daunting to walk through during the night).

Lovely house with all amenities and lots of space. The owners live in attached home and are very friendly and helpful if needed. I would highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

Narrow roads in the area.

Location was perfect for us as we are moving into the area. Hosts Rob and Jenna were exceptionally responsive and helpful, giving us access to the garden washing line for example and leaving a very thoughtful welcome hamper of goodies - ideal when you arrive tired The beds were hugely comfortable and even with all the windows open during the night, the location was very quiet and peaceful The kitchen was very well stocked and there wasn’t anything we missed during our stay that wasn’t already thought off.

The pool table was a little wonky so will need attention The living room sofas were very stylish and excellent quality but a little hard so definitely not ones you could slouch on. The parking spaces are underneath trees which meant that the car was at the mercy of bird mess at times

Host Rob met us, great communication. Very spacious and clean with everything that we needed. Lovely welcome basket with scones, jam, cream, bread and milk which we felt was a great touch. Very quiet location and comfortable beds. At first I thought it was odd that the twin bedroom had no bedside lamps but then realised that the little fans on the tables had a light. We shared with friends so felt that it was great value for money as opposed to staying in a hotel with less space and facilities.

There wasn’t anything we disliked, just wish we could have stayed longer.

Great location for nature and relaxing etc., and the cottage was fantastic with a good spec, so well worth the money. We were greeted upon arrival and taken to the cottage, so no issue. The Hosts were very pleasant and accommodating, and left a nice welcome food parcel including cream tea, fresh roses as well as toiletries.

The only negative point at all was that the front door, as locking and unlocking was a little stiff for us, but this was not major issue.
