The cottage was perfect for a romantic getaway,it was very comfy and cosy

Nothing it was perfect

It was a cosy cottage, the bed and sofa were very comfy. It was a well equipped kitchen with everything you need for your stay.

We had a couple of issues. Firstly, the shower was very bad. It kept going from very hot to very cold, and it burnt my mother, leaving a red patch from how hot it was. The placement of the shower and how tight the space is means you can’t jump out of the way when it suddenly goes from freezing to scalding. This was very disappointing and was one of the reasons we left early. The second issue was the location. The cottage is up several steep stairs and isn’t on the road as Google Maps suggests when you book. It is clear from the booking that it's on a hill; however, on the map it shows that it’s not far from the road or appears to be on the road. In reality, it’s much further back and up several steep steps. I have mobility issues and my mother does as well. If this had been clearer, we wouldn’t have booked this property due to our mobility limitations. When booking, we were aware we were booking somewhere on a hill and have stayed in similar locations before. However, in those cases we were able to get a bus, taxi, or park outside. That was not the case here. Be aware if you have any mobility issues. We ended up leaving a night early due to these problems.

Just a short walk into town which is a great place for a nice night out.

Owners very attentive and helpful, they live next door and are charming and genuine. Popped by on our arrival and then they dropped in later in the week with M&S biscuits. Good value for money. Very clean. Well equipped kitchen.

Their agents a bit rubbish, they failed to respond to 2 messages that we sent ahead of time. Be aware that parking is a 4/5 minute walk away in a P&D carpark. We bought a ticket for the week for.£13.50. The cottage is tucked away and not easy to find, we felt this was part of the charm but might be frustrating for some people?

The host lived next door, so helpful and friendly , nothing was too much trouble , the cottage was exceptional , home from home , everything you needed , spotlessly clean , good location .
