Wharton House Mews in Cartmel, Lake District - Ridgestone

Good location but very hard to find. The photo supplied is only useful when you actually arive at the property.The sat nav couldnt find it and even the staff from the racecourse opposite didnt know where the property was!

It is advertised as a two bedroom property but doesnt say that the second bedroom is across a yard and completely seperate and also very small. We all ended up staying in the main property which was very nice and the bed was very comfy but didnt expect one of us to be sleeping on the sofa.

The location was really nice and quiet. Very nice village, loads to do. Local shops and pubs so that you can get Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Nothing.

Main house was great. Spacious, clean and well appointed. Garage was a real bonus as parking can be an issue.

Jail secondary bedroom was a bit bijou but well appointed and clean

This is a lovely property in a great location. The garage for one vehicle is a real bonus in a village with limited parking. Close to the pubs, restaurants and shops. Really nicely finished house.

The Jail was cute but it was very small (especially with the 4 poster bed upstairs) and it also could have done with a good clean - it felt like it had been a while since it was last cleaned (there were a fair few dead insects and quite a lot of dust around), which was a shame.

Main flat part was good and stylish design and specious.

My wife and daughter travelled together and thinking it’s 2 bedroom house but ITS NOT!!! When we arrived we found out it’s a separate very small building opposite. Which is mouldy and stinks a mould I tried to sleep my own but sleeping in mouldy environment can give you bad chest and make you ill. So stayed in the main flat and my daughter had to sleep on beanbag which is not acceptable and they should not advertise as 2 bedrooms place in the first place. I have sent messages on the phone number and on booking.com got no reply of them for different things rang them to complain but nobody answered my phone . DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 2 people. I rather stayed in the hotel so all family have somewhere to sleep.

Apartment was beautiful with loads of finishing touches, none required, but finished the property off perfectly.

The text message instructions that we received as we arrived to help you locate the keys were very poor. Eventually I found an email that had been sent whilst driving which described there locarion much better. We spend about 20 minutes trying to locate them.

Absolutely beautiful property, looked exactly like the pictures and the finish was a very high standard, great facilities, fabulous location, easy to access and an extra bonus that there was onsite parking.

Excellent property and excellent location. Will certainly consider booking again (without children). A nice selection of welcome gifts greeted us, comfortable, spacious and warm, with great amenities, satellite tv and wifi. Hot tub was an ideal way to relax after a long day!

The key locations and instructions were not clear and obvious, especially arriving in darkness/evening. We didn’t know there was a second key locker so needed to call the hosts to get the spare keys. On booking.com it was not clear the second bedroom was across the courtyard. We have 2 children under 4 so they could not sleep there. Only when looking at the property on other websites could be see this information, but the booking could not be amended or cancelled.
