Beautiful Rural Retreat and Sapphire Springs Thermal Mineral Pools

We liked that the Hot Springs Retreat was well situated in terms of everything we wanted to visit. It was very close to Tauranga and Mount Maunganui, as well as Waihi and Paeroa. It meant that we had a great variety of options every day without having to drive significant mileage. The accommodation itself was excellent. Kylea and her family run a phenomenal property: clean, modern, interesting architecture. We loved staying there and getting to grips with the tiny house phenomenon. It was a real talking point and made us realise what sustainable housing is all about. Thanks again to Kylea for her superb customer service and for sharing this wonderful property with us.

Beautiful stay in a gorgeous home and lovely location. Had all the amenities you could need. The bird life is incredible, from the tūīs, to faintails, ducks, hens and Miss P the peahen. The host provided us with complementary items which were so appreciated and delish! The access to the hot pools were an excellent add on as well no complaints at all would stay again!

Beautifully appointed with a scrumptious selection of’extras’. The accommodation is excellent and having access to the mineral pools is a wonderful bonus. You must include this in your itinerary!!

A little more space, but that’s being very picky!

This property has everything you need for a great holiday with a Private setting close to the camp ground. The welcome items were fantastic to kick start our stay and we loved the tiny home experience! Can’t wait to stay again!

Nice location. Very clean. Great host.

Modern facilities were clean, cozy and comfortable with a friendly host. Sapphire springs area was beautiful and pools were excellent.

The property is next to the Sapphire Springs Thermal Pools and includes admission to the pools on the day of arrival. The hosts provided generous breakfast provisions. The property is relatively new and very clean. There is a washer dryer available. There is ample grassed area and garden.

The accomodation is actually two mobile structures that adjoin a deck. We are a group of 4, two couples travelling together. There is only one bathroom. We found the accommodation too small for two couples to comfortably stay. It was tricky for one couple who stayed in the structure with a double room and a bunk room. They had to step outside onto the deck, then enter the other structure to use the bathroom, making sure no-one was in there.
