Very comfortable bed in a quiet room on the top floor of the hotel. Very helpful staff carried my luggage up to the room. Excellent breakfast. Great location in the centre of the town.

The stairs are very steep. No lift to the top floor. My tiny single room (#17) had no window, although the excellent en-suite did have a small one that was usable for ventilation.

Central. Beautiful ancient building in Devizes. Restored sympathetically with modern comforts, such as recessed lighting and underfloor heating in the bathroom.

Restaurant clearly had a challenging night.

Great traditional English breakfast, all you could cope with! Tasted fantastic. Coffee and tea provided fresh and hot. The rooms were very comfortable clean and well decorated. Excellent shower and bath in our room. The snugs were really comfortable and, well, snug! Great for relaxing drinks and chat after dinner. The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The restaurant was very good also, good place to book for the first night. Other good restaurants very close to hotel. We really enjoyed our stay, highly recommended.
