Stunning King Suite Apartment in the heart of Leeds City Center

The location.

Electrical issues which meant we had no heat or hot water when there was literally a blizzard outside. The plug sockets didn't work so we couldn't even charge our phones, luckily the tenants in the flat upstairs put one on charge for an hour in case we had an emergency. The door sensor beeped every minute all through the night, which was no doubt linked to the poor electrics. This kept us awake all night and we were too tired to drive prior to the 10am checkout. The apartment was DIRTY too, hairs in the showers and toilets, and it didn't look like it had ever been cleaned under the beds. Upon reading other reviews the shower was broken in July and still hasn't been fixed. Upon contacting the property owner he offered us a 10% refund and tried to challenge our complaints - completely unacceptable! Stay away from this joker who can't even provide the basics!

The location and ease of access to the apartment was great. There are three good size bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms (when working).

On the second day of our stay, the host contacted us at 10:30 am on the 21st of November to say that the owner was wanting access to the property at 3:45pm that same day. They did not disclose why. We advised the host that we wouldn’t be available to accommodate that and that we refused access to the property. However, the host insisted that a visit would go ahead, despite not giving 24 hours notice or us providing permission. As a result of this, we had to cancel our plans and return to the property. At 3:45pm a letting agent, not the owner or host, turned up with three students wanting to show them around the property. To confirm their identity, I asked the letting agent if they were the owner or host, and they advised no, they were a student letting agent given permission to access the property by the owner. I politely explained to the letting agent that they couldn’t come into the property to show the students around until after we left the following day. When asked how they would have shown the students around if we weren’t in, the student letting agent did advise they had a key and had been given permission by the owner to access the property. Personally I feel this is a significant breach of privacy and security and hosts of properties should not be allowing anyone to enter a property while it is under let. In addition, one of the showers in the apartment was not working. This wasn't a huge issue, as one was still working, but with three people travelling it would have been nice to have been advised of this prior to arrival.

A beautiful apartment and in a great location! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to visit Leeds.
