Summer Holiday 5 bed with Hot tub and Entertainment

Spacious property, comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen.

TV and WiFi did not work throughout visit. Our first evening was spent speaking to the owner (9 calls) and waiting while the cleaner tried to fix it (no success after an hour). When we returned to the house at the end of the following day, the TV and WiFi were still not working. Website reviews show other guests have also had problems. No WiFi code or remote visible on arrival. We located one remote in the drawer but it had only one battery. The working remote was eventually found by the cleaner, concealed behind board games, underneath the TV. No direct contact with the owner. We had to either ring her husband to request a call back from a "withheld number", or email via the Booking.com website. Not only was this a palaver but it caused problems: an email from her the following morning, checking all was resolved, was not picked up until our return that evening. The hot tub looked dirty: we decided against using it as there were granules at the bottom and dirt around one jet, which the cleaner could not remove. the BISHTA regulations (C19 - advice for business use on changing and testing of water and filters). Plus spare towels were not provided - something the website reviews mention. There was insufficient outside seating for our party of five, as we were advised the garden swing was broken. The stairs did not appear to have been vacuumed. One of the bathroom sink plugs would not rise, so the water didn't drain away. There were ants crawling around the kitchen cupboards. Much of this could have been resolved by a meet and greet, or written information. One of our party owned a rental property, and as a group we have certainly found this to be standard. Finally, in a so-called "Opulent" House, one would expect a degree of luxury, or - at the very least - curtains that cover bedroom windows and working bedside lights. The bedroom furniture is very basic: one bedroom had no bedside lamps or tables, or even a mirror.

I love how spacious is the place. I went with my previous colleagues and we're 10 in the team and we really enjoyed the place

Was probably our fault as we didnt read clearly that the hot tub was not included if it's only a night reservation.

Spacious well-maintained clean house, large and well-equipped kitchen. The owner helps if needed and allowed us to stay an extra hour. Quiet and pleasant area. Convenient location for travelers in South East England.

Less suitable for people who have difficulty with internal stairs

Everything. The property was very clean. Very comfortable. Fully equipped. It was even better than I was expecting. Added bonus was the pool table.

The only problem we had was getting channels for the TV and that we didn't stay longer.
