D' Carasti Bungalow

The owners are just incredible people. I was here for a nearby funeral and ViVi helped me with all the cultural necessities and etiquette for the funeral. Azis is also so lovely and will bring you wherever you need. I was even invited to a local wedding! English is good and both are so welcoming. bungalows are lovely and clean, I slept well and AC is good. Wifi was touchy at the time but they were fixing it. Remember where you are - you will hear the mosques in the early morning I highly recommend you being ear buds for this reason if you are not used to it. The food is delish and I was shown around the local village. Enjoy your stay here. I will be back!

Brand new bungalows in authentic Lombok village. Host family is super friendly and helpful.

The two bungalows were very nicely made, clean and comfortable. The owner was very friendly, we could even leave our bicycles there while we hiked the Rinjani. We had a wonderfull stay and would totally recommend it to everyone who is passing through Selong. There is also the possibility to organize hikes and other activities through the owner.

The only thing to note is the proximity to the mosque and the speakers. It is loud in the morning so bring noicecancelling headphones.

Azis was an incredible host, his whole family made us feel so welcome here. They gave great advice on where to eat and what to see. The rooms themselves were spacious and we really loved hanging out with the cats and kitten :)

Aziz is a wonderful man who makes you feel so welcomed. It was lovely sitting with him and getting to know more about Lombok and Indonesian culture. He invited us for dinner and a trip to the local waterfall however due to exhausting we politely declined. Next time I’m in Lombok I’ll definitely take him up on his offer. The bungalow is beautiful, clean, comfortable and affordable. Aziz is attentive and ensures you have a wonderful stay. Highly recommend.

I liked everything.

Such an amazing homestay! As soon as we arrived we were welcomed into the family. Aziz took us out to local restaurant, rice field tour, to visit a local waterfall and even to the local school. The accommodation is very clean and peaceful with views of a lovely garden. Bed is comfortable and got a great night sleep. Yes you can hear the mosques nearby but this is the same everywhere in Lombok. Breakfast omelette and coffee was incredible, Lombok style. Thank you so much to lovely Aziz and family, one of the best places we have stayed.

The Bungalows are very nice and well looked after. It’s such a comfortable and nice environment especially the family makes sure you feel the most welcome. They were so nice, looking after us, showing us around, truly a wonderful experience staying here. We only stayed one night as we were on our way down south but you could easily stay there for a long time to enjoy the Nature, the Village and the People !
