Urban Retreat - Central and Historic

Very clean appartment - the bathroom is SO beautiful, i wish mine at home looked like that! Also bedding was soft and comfortable and the appt. was located quite central - the place is really perfect!

The location is pretty nice being right next to a historical building and the shopping area. Very easy to get to the apartment from the train station. The apartment features a very pleasant interior design and a sufficiently equipped kitchen for medium simple dishes.

Despite not being a problem for me and my fellow travelers, the accessibility is quite bad. The apartment needs to be accessed by walking up a long set of stairs without any elevator. It is not perfectly understandable how to access the apartment, as the front door has no handles. Sometimes it was open, sometimes not. The side of the apartment features another door that remains always open.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bed is larger than the double in the description, it’s at least a Queen and very comfortable. It’s quiet at night. Good coffee machine. Very located to visit the city and a two minute walk from the Residence. We didn’t need parking as we arrived by bicycle. There are 74 steps up to the apartment which didn’t bother us but a consideration for some.

There is a lack of power points so tricky to plug in computer if you need to work. It would have been useful to have an ironing board (there is an iron) and also a rack to dry clothes. The kitchen is very small but OK to prepare simple meals and there is a dishwasher.

the apartment is quiet and at a great location with shopping area, supermarket, attractions, good restaurants, as well as bakery within walking distance. Although of small area, it has all the functions including cooking area, private bathroom, and two bedrooms. the ice cream shop Das Casa nearby is great.

the biggest problem is that hot water is extremely not stable. it is almost impossible to take a shower. besides there is no shampoo or shower gel provided. parking next to the building is very difficult, and it is highly recommended to park in the Residenz. the spakasse indoor park is expensive and the parking area next to the Dom has a time limit of two hours. the apartment is small for 4 person. the cooking corner is very small and dark. although mentioned by the owner, there is no lift. climbing stairs up to the 3rd floor is challenging. the drain in the bathroom is partly blocked. the curtains are not functioning well. the sofa bed is a bit dirty.

Fantastic location. The apartment had everything a couple needs for an enjoyable stay. Theresa is a very accommodating and wonderful host.
