Fat Lips Surf Lodge

I had a lovely stay at Fat Lips Surf Lodge overall. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxed stay. The hostess was incredibly kind and helpful throughout, which made a big difference and added a very personal touch to the experience. The location is also a great plus—very close to Cloud 9, so perfect if you’re there for surfing or just want to be near one of Siargao’s main spots. Overall, a great place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but best suited for those who don’t mind a bit of noise or come prepared for it.

That said, there are a few things to be aware of. The air conditioning unit was quite loud, and since the lodge is surrounded by local houses, there was a fair amount of noise at night from barking dogs and roosters. If you’re a light sleeper, earplugs are definitely a must. During my stay, there was also construction happening around the property, which added to the noise during the day.

¿Lo mejor? Sus dos perritos <3 me alegraba verlos, son muy tiernos cuando te reciben! El lugar estaba escondido, por lo tanto tenías vista como de la selva, pero saliendo de allí estabas en una de las calles principales. Aunque sí o sí es necesaria una moto o e-bike. El internet me funcionó super para hacer algunos días teletrabajo. Entregaban un raincoat de muy buena calidad, por lo que me sirvió bastante para ciertos días lluviosos. Por lo menos en los días que estuve no se cortó la electricidad, lo cual me comentaron que era muy común en Siargao.

El camino para llegar al lodge está en muy mal estado, lo que resulta muy difícil caminar sin mojarte los pies si vas en periodo de lluvias y se inunda y sales a comer a pie. Asimismo en moto hay que pasar con cuidado. Sería bueno rellenar y poner luces para la noche, ya que es muy oscuro. Aún así no me sentí insegura. El lodge estaba en construcción por remodelación, por lo que a veces hacían ruido temprano. Hubiese sido perfecto si ofrecieran servicio de lavandería.

bed is comfortable there is 20L of drinking water, that is amazing. there is starlink there is light with battery and fan has built in battery.

aircon is very loud, it is single window unit style. location is very bad: * very narrow and dirt road , airport service and cars does not go inside. * neighbour has agressive dogs they are very problamatic in the dark-they block the road to the hotel, street dogs are ok. there is no fridge in the room.

Le personnel est vraiment adorable (mention spéciale à Din din qui est super réactive par message), la chambre était très belle et l’équipe facilite l’accès au Lodge (qui n’est pas situé sur une route principale) depuis l’aéroport. J’ai aussi adoré le guide partagé par l’équipe avec plein d’adresses à Siargao, et les bonnes écoles de surf (j’ai pris mon premier cours de surf avec Surf Logs grâce à ce guide).

Tout était très bien mais s’il faut mentionner des axes d’amélioration alors la propreté de la chambre et le petit déjeuner pourraient être optimisés (plus d’options de petit déjeuner : pancakes par exemple ?).

My favorite place to stay in Siargao! Comfy bed and sheets, good WiFi and great little desk for work.

Everything. The staff were amazing the owner was so welcoming. We went for a surf and spoke a lot. Any small issue you have is resolved immediately. They are so attentive. Location is ideal as well.
