Location for what we needed

There were multiple issues with this property/booking. The main one, being that we were very mislead. We were led to believe that the property was private use as the description states ‘entire apartment’. Not anywhere on the description does it say ‘shared’ however there were 3 other people using it too. We had a shared bathroom, no tv, no lounge area as advertised, no walk-in shower. The lock on the gate to get into the property was broken, so we had to lift the ‘host’ over the gate to let us in. The drawers in the kitchen were broken. They had to break a door for the lady in the room next to us at 8.30/9pm to get her into her room, which caused a lot of disturbance and also meant she then had to sleep with her door open overnight as she couldn’t close it. We were originally taking our children (so glad we didn’t) but the owner then admitted that he had resold the room (that we had actually paid for!). We walked in on the 'owner' having a wee in the bathroom as he didn't shut/ or lock the door. It was nothing as advertised with lots of issues. The pictures they are using are for the whole apartment, which you don’t get. Even the easy things to sort and make it look better, were poor, such as the duvet cover was put on inside out and had mismatched pillowcases. Barely any furniture in the room, no pictures on the walls etc, very cold room. The windows need sorting as every time the wind blew, the windows made a whistling sound. The only good thing was the location for what we needed and free parking. Also tried to get a refund and they want me to send my bank details to a number on WhatsApp from Tanzania.

We arrived to Manchester (4 girls) and Eric the host made us feel really safe and comfortable. Hugely accommodating and helpful. Couldn’t recommend more.
