We had a wonderful stay with these hosts. It’s a residential home with guesthouses on the upper floor, offering a nice balance between a homestay and a hotel experience. All entrances are separate, and you get a hotel-style room with a private balcony facing the water, so the level of privacy is excellent. The host speak English and struck a great balance—warm and engaging when you felt like chatting, but otherwise respectful of your space and never intrusive. It made the stay feel both comfortable and relaxed. The property is also has four cats who are friendly and very very sweet. And always around to get pets. Location-wise, it’s within an easy 8min walk to a couple of restaurants and a Lawson, which is very convenient. As for the island itself, it’s worth noting that it’s a quiet, residential beach area, and many businesses close around 3pm. That said, it has a charming, laid-back atmosphere, and it’s no trouble at all to drive about 15 minutes to the neighboring island for more options

The hosts were amazing – friendly, accommodating, and happy to answer any questions. They brought their friend over to help plan out an itinerary. The room was perfect, queen, comfortable, quiet with the sea view. I highly recommend this location and the hosts are exceptional!

I reminded the host that it might be a good idea to have assigned to their place in English as well

Water pressure for shower was strong and warm.

Firstly, it is incorrect to say this is a hotel. It is more like an Airbnb. It is part of someone’s home, with a separate entrance. Most importantly, the google address and location was incorrect. The address on the booking.com website is also incorrect. It brought us to a cemetery! Thankfully we arrived in the day while the sun was up, otherwise we would be completely lost. We went to a nearby Lawson to seek help. Thankfully the staff were friendly and willing to help. They have not heard of the hotel, but helped us to look up the map for me. It was in a completely different direction. Not an easy location to find, as it goes into a narrow and unmarked road. At the apartment, the lady owner came out quickly to the car porch and gave us the key to the apartment. In the apartment, we found hair on the towels (they were sticking out!) and on the shower room wall. The sheets and towels are dark blue, so it is not easy to tell if they were clean too. The slippers provided were also very well-used and not sanitised. The air conditioner made funny crackling noises through night, and we could also hear running water at night. Not sure where the sounds were coming from. So we didn’t have a good sleep unfortunately. We only stayed one night.
