The Loft on Colenso

This actually was a loft over a small garage accessible right off the street. Parking adjacent. Never saw the owners but could correspond by email. The place was spacious and comfortable over all and a good price. Quiet and isolated up a winding, steep neighborhood road above the main commercial district. Main room was bright with tv/wifi access and fridge. Picture window faced the ocean and house roofs. The bathroom was on ground level below the room.

I mentioned to the owners before leaving that I found the bathroom access a bit awkward particularly since the only sink was there when you were eating upstairs. Plus the stair between was bit narrow - but I did get used to it and got a bit of exercise. I also said they should provide a quick heat unit in the bathroom as it was cool when I was there and there was no heating option for that area - they said it was a good idea (I had one like that in another place).

It was cute, comfortable, private great views.

No normal t.v Lack of kitchen amenities ie cutlery, plates, toaster. Definitely had to eat out. Just a room to sleep and wash Stairs were very steep

Location up on Hospital Hill, was close to Ahuriri and Napier CBD. Lovely quiet street, great area for walking. The Loft is above the owner's double garage, with parking just out on the street, felt very safe & quiet. Accommodation was simple and comfortable.

Only one comfy chair supplied, two would be better. Also, only 2 pillows on the bed, instead of 4. No mention on the website that the TV operates only via Chromecast streaming off your mobile phone as no aerial.
