Nicky's family home

I mean for $9-10 dollars a bed and a bathroom is all I asked for and all I got. Simple amenities and the fan had good speed to it. The mosquito net has a few holes but I didn't use it. I left early the next morning so I didn't utilize the other spaces.

For anyone who needs a quiet sleep, the roof is a sort of metal so when it rains at night you will hear that quite loudly. Also if it's a hot evening the fan may not be enough for some people.

Everything was great

The couple who run the place are very helpful and friendly. The room is very simple, basically brick and corrugated metal, but you have a good amount of privacy and space to move around, with basics in the room including a sink, cold shower, a couple of tables, and wifi. A fridge and well-stocked kitchen are available in the owner's home, kind of adjacent.

Unfortunately, there's a frequent smell from outside of burning trash. I know it's not the owners' fault, but for me it has to count as a minus.

Couple très accueillant, petit déjeuner copieux, à 25 minutes à pied du centre

Nous avons réservé 2 nuits à 11$ en arrivant sur place c’était finalement 20$ Pas d’isolation du tout (juste des tôles) on entendait les voitures, chiens, coq à 5h comme s’ils étaient tous dans la chambre Pour aller aux toilettes il faut sortir dans la rue , ouvrir le portail, traverser le jardin , et aller dans la maison (de même pour la cuisine et la douche) et s’il pleut le jardin est boueux.

Alex and Nicky are super welcoming and happy to share about Nicaragua - it was lovely to be part of the house for a few days! Would highly recommend to anyone who's looking to get to know more about the country and its culture.
