Manchester 2 Bedroom House with Garden

Very quiet area. Ideal for visiting Spire hospital.

Not checked over properly by owners as cutlery and crockery missing. Owner was however very quick to respond to messages. Car space not big enough for a large car when neighbour also parked however plenty of room on road and very quiet culdesac

This property was self catering although from the picture on the website we expected to at least receive some milk for arrival, there was tea, coffee etc but no good without milk.

The property worked well for visiting a sick family member - it was clean but needs some TLC.

Needed more cutlery, wasahing up liquid and a washing up sponge

- hot and strong shower water - well equipped with all the necessary utilities

- the lights in dining area and one of the bedroom was not working properly - it took a long time for the toilet flushing water to be refilled - some dirts on the cushion and dining chairs

Property was ideal as we had a puppy so needed outdoor space. Not far from Trafford centre by car which was the reason we visited.

Garden gate was not properly closed and only noticed on the last day so it’s a good job our puppy never got out, few things in the house were a bit outdated eg table and chairs in the kitchen and living room furniture. Tv was a bit high on the wall compared to how low and far the couch was, couldn’t watch during the day due to the glare from the window. Odd few stains on the carpet and broken bench by the front door, also damaged laminate in the front bedroom and cobwebs on the walls in the back bedroom and by the blinds in the kitchen on the patio doors. Back door key was stiff to turn to get the door open, and wooden front door didn’t make us feel very safe. We were also awoken at 2am by the neighbours home alarm which was left for around 20 minutes before being switched off, this then went off again so we decided to leave in the early hours of the morning

It was lovely to stay in a home, rather than a hotel room which can sometimes be a bit impersonal. We were travelling with our 9yr old grandson who just loved the large TV + channels, we liked being able to relax, and having a garden was a bonus. Our daughter lived nearby, it was really nice to walk to her house, visit the shops (all within walking distance), but have our own 'space' to come back to. Beds were very comfortable, the bedlinen was cotton, and good quality, it made for a good nights sleep.

There were a few things that are not meant as complaints, as we don't think the owners were aware, we have our own rental property, perhaps we look at things differently? There was equipment listed, which were not there, basic items were missing, only 1 pillow per person, no fire extinguisher/fire blanket/first aid kit. The ironing table, and iron were kept in the upstairs bedroom, I would worry that someone might try and carry it downstairs, with dire consequences? The lock on the door to the garden was not easy to operate, either opening, or locking again, and some cleaning issues ie giant cobwebs in corners of room. None of this impacted on our stay, we were in contact with the owners, who only wanted to help, we only mention this as these are some things that could easily be rectified.
