Cowes Town House

The location was great for a family. We mostly self-catered from the house, so were grateful for the choice of shops in the area; Aldi, Lidl, Asda, Co-op were all close by. Also, there are lots of places to eat out if you wanted to. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We were especially grateful for the dishwasher and washing machine with a young child! The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. The house is lovely and modern, nicely decorated and clean. It felt like a home from home. We enjoyed a BBQ in the little paved garden, that was safe and secure for our son to explore. The hosts kindly left a travel cot for our little one, except I think it was actually a play pen, so we had to pad out the bottom as it wasn't really a mattress. Still, we were grateful for that as it saved us taking one with us. We found the location to be central to lots of attractions. We drove to 'The Needles' in 35 minutes. We also visited Monkey Haven, Ryde Beach, the Steam Railway and the centre of Cowes. All great to explore and not too far to travel. Thanks for hosting us on our lovely family mini break!

Nothing to complain about... we had a great stay. We were pleased with the house, location and our holiday overall. We used our car to get around. Got to most places within 10-35 minutes drive. There were a lot of hills in the area (to be expected on the Isle of Wight) but just to bear in mind for the less abled / those with a buggy to push around!

It was fully equipped and had extras. Spotlessly clean.

The only small point was that we couldn't get the televisions to work. Owner did attend promptly but still wasn't great.

The town house was beautifully decorated in keeping with the surroundings. Rachael and Andy where very attentive when it came to the welcome basket and available on the phone when needed. The facilities in the property were of a high standard. The location of the property is very close to Cowes Town and within walking distance to a bus or ferry. Rachael and Andy also put together a really thoughtful pack which included local restaurant menus and left current things to do IOW magazines.

The house is at an exceptional standard, and Rachael and Andy had thought of everything to make your stay a real home from home experience. From our welcome hamper to contacting them was a real ease and pleasure.Nothing was too much trouble.
