Recommend. 1. Fantastic location! You can walk to everything in a few minutes! Even to the water front, which is nice! 2. Beautiful old building! Really has an old, historical vibe. Loved the high ceilings and balconies. The unit was very spacious! 3. The street in front is pedestrian-only. No cars! Also, no trash. No riff-raff. 4. REALLY comfortable bed! Slept well. 5. Met Lorenzo in person. I was lost in Palermo and he literally tracked me down and helped me carry a bag. With everyone doing remote/virtual/automation in Italy, I appreciate the human connection. He also let me check out around 11:30ish. 6. Big AC/heat units. Separate units for the living room and bedroom. Worked great! 7. WiFi was stable. Tested 12.9 mbps. I was working from 6pm to 3am, so this was very important. 8. Water was very hot. Good water pressure. 9. Warm lighting from lamps.

Nothing major. But after (5) nights paying over $100 per night, I make the following observations: 1. The bathroom could be improved. Sometimes it smelled. The shower itself was a tiny plastic cube. Rickety and in need of a replacement. It was not befitting of such a nice apartment. Why not have a bigger shower in such a spacious bathroom? Also, someone painted the tiles blue. Sloppy job. There are drops of blue paint on the sink. On the floor. On the sides of the shower. It does not look good. 2. The mini-fridge is old and leaked water all over my food. Ice forms in the "freezer" area and it melts all over everything. I suggest investing in a new unit. 3. The dishes need to be inspected for quality control. There were dirty dishes in the cupboard. Almost every single coffee cup was dirty with brown stains and coffee residue. I had to clean a coffee mug and some dishes in order to eat. 4. The unit was darker than anticipated, despite being on the 2nd floor and having balconies. The orientation did not allow for direct sunlight. 5. It would be nice to include the tourist tax in the final price when making the reservation. Paying cash separately is a nuisance. 6. Bring ear plugs! Windows are single paned. 7. I recommend end-tables and a bedside table. If you're sitting on the couch, where do you set down your hot tea? 8. Apparently in Sicily you can't run more than one appliance at a time. I was running the heater and the microwave simultaneously and it tripped the electricity. Had to contact Lorenzo to reset it. 9. Although there is a physical set of keys, there is a small key that operates the electricity. It must be inserted at all times. If you leave the house, all of the electricity turns off.

Lorenzo met us outside. He had given us very clear directions how to find apartment off Via Roma. He was very helpful. The location so easy to walk to historic centre. The apartment had a little kitchenette so you could do breakfast yourself. The lift great not lots of steps. Lovely big comfortable bed. Bonus of air con. Very spacious apartment. Lovely coffee shops just outside apartment to the right The Sicilian restaurant to the left can't recall name. Transport so easy to get to Mondello beach for the day. Airport bus 10 minutes walk away. So much to see in Palermo. The locals all friendly and helpful. The glorious weather we had.

More pillows would be good but we managed for our stay. People outside shouting till 2 a.m. on Saturday night, traffic noise not a problem for us. The shutters helped a bit.

"Cozy, comfy, clean, special"

10.0

Lorenzo our host was fantastic. He met us to check in and explained everything. Apartment is cozy and comfortable. It was the Director of the Teatro Massimo’s apartment - and it feels amazing to be in his space! Sofa bed and bed are comfortable; shower has great hot water; kitchenette is useful and well-equipped, and the space is very clean. The location is perfect - on a pedestrian street so you have little street noise. Beautiful views. Elevator is great!

Couldńt get the espresso machine to work but I think I misunderstood the Italian instructions! Electricity would sometimes “trip” when putting the main electricity key in sockets, but easy enough to fix by adjusting main switch. Not a big deal. I know electricity in Italy is a little more sensitive in old buildings.
