The Gold Mine Hotel

Cute, western themed furnishings, obviously new cabin. Staff really nice. Bed very comfortable. The smoked brisket at the saloon is heavenly, and there was live music on Friday and Saturday evenings (we were there on Friday) on an outside stage - we sat on the cabin porch and ate, enjoying a little country western music. Very nice!

It would have been nice to have a microwave to heat up the leftovers (the servings are huge). There is a fridge. The shower is very small.

Unique decorations. Very nice. The soft blanket was nice and comfy. We loved the Roku since that's what we have at home. Nice and quiet. And no carpet was great.

The curtain is too far from the window and people could see into the room, and the air conditioner would blow it open when it went on. We used heavy items to hold it closer to the window and a pin to keep the side closed better.

We had not planned to be in Idaho City but road construction detoured us so we decided to find a place to stay. We loved The Gold Mine Hotel. We had drinks in the restaurant while we waited to check in and then returned for dinner later. All the staff were very friendly. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room very nice.
