Aridas at the Beach

The location was great as it was close to the lovely clean beach. A number of restuarants and bars were nearby. We were able to find a hotel with a swimming pool that was open to non-residents within walking distance

Public transport from the beach to Lourdata town at the top of a steep hill was infrequent.

Staff didn’t care Owner couldn’t be bothered sorting out air conditioning for a hellish first night but noticed a hotel towel coming back from the beach !!!

Location was on the beach, and it was quiet area. A few bars along the road but they were quiet too. Apartment was very clean, modern, beautiful and quiet. We loved everything about it.

The property is on a quiet beach. The young male chef is lovely and helpful and cooks great meals.

Please note my booking on booking.com says: 1 studio 13% VAT included E1.50 environment fee per night is included. Total price E263.70. However when I got to the property I had to pay the 1.50 euro a day environment fee again. I checked my booking pre arrival and it said 'the studio provides air-conditioning'. However, On arrival I was asked to pay for air conditioning at 8 euro a day and environment tax 1.5 euro a day in cash. When I questioned why I had to pay for air con they said they emailed me about that 6 months ago. They would not take credit card. We should be informed of this in advance. It was a long walk to an ATM after arriving at 8pm after 16 hours of travel. They would not let me have the air conditioner remote for a very hot sunny room until I walked and got this cash. Even thou I was staying there 3 nights and could pay credit card now or cash tomorrow. The description says toiletries are provided. All we got was a small piece of soap. No toiletries. It says there is a well- equipped kitchenette. It is very basic! But there was no washing up detergent or cloth for washing up or drying crockery/ cutlery. The description in the studio says 'Housekeeping includes linen, bath towels and pool towels once a week.' But when I asked for a pool/ beach towel they said they didn't have any.

Location right on the beach was excellent. Newly refurbished. Host excellent and on hand if needed. Parking available. Air con was good. Hosts taverna available if required

Not much of a sea view. Need more comfy table and chairs on the balcony. No dressing table and mirror in twin bedroom. New bedroom furniture still had sawdust in drawers, same in the kitchen. Could do with some wine glasses. Could not adjust position of the shower head.

Wonderful location right on the beach at Lourdas and linked with a great taverna Aridas Palace where we ate on several occasions. Very spacious studio with two terraces one of which looked directly over the beach. Sun loungers on beach for use of residents. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

A bit noisy at night due to a generator which switched on and off but we got used to this after one night especially once we switched on our a/c. Limited cooking facilities but we did not need these due to numerous great bars and taverna on our doorstep.

Location is excepional, few meters from the sea, accross the narrow street

AC unit was charged separatelly as a option on summer vacation when temps are above 30C the whole day, especially if you are below the flat roof temps are even higher. It is not accounted in the final price and well hidden on Booking site as Host info???
