La Collina sul Mare

The best accommodation I have ever stayed in. The location is the very definition of peace and tranquility. The property offers breathtaking views of the sea and the nearby castle, behind which the sun sets every evening. There are also beautiful, untouched beaches just a short distance away. On top of that, the hosts are some of the kindest people you could ever meet. They genuinely make you feel at home and ensure your stay is truly special.

La vue sur la mer magnifique. Le petit déjeuner avec des spécialités siciliennes. Giuseppe est extrêmement aimable et serviable. Il nous a laissé choisir entre toutes les chambres disponibles.Nous avions crevé et a contacté un garagiste pour nous, ça a été réparé rapidement. Le logement est près de la Vallée des Temples avec des jolies plages un peu privées. Grazie mille et peut-être à bientôt :)

Tout était parfait, cependant certains équipements sont peut être à revoir comme la douche qui coulait pas bien, les lumières, pas beaucoup de prises..

We did not plan to go here, but it became the best stay out of 4 different accomodations during our Siciliy trip!!! Despite that, it was the least costly. The hotel is small and has a small number of rooms (5-6?), and the breakfast restaurant with it's fantastic terrace is just the right size. Breakfast was great! From the terrace you see the sunset next to the old Montechiaro fortress, with a great view over the Mediterranean sea and some pittoresque Sicilian fields. We brought a bottle of wine and a pizza from Palma di Montechiaro two nights in a row because we liked the quiet and relaxed (yet dignified) atmosphere at La Collina sul Mare much better than any restaurant we visited during our trip. It is a 20-minute walk to Baya delle Sirene, so we took the car and parked at the Montechiaro fortress and walked 10-15 minutes instead. It was super hot and relatively steep, but that beach has magical sands and a perfect natural cliff setting. I think there might be many tourist boats during high season, due to the beauty of the bay, but we came there during late September and were completely alone at the beach for 4 hours! Very little plastics and litter, just a fanstastic experience. In addition to the location and atmosphere of the hotel, the owner receives our "best-of-Siciliy"-review! He did not speak English, but compensated with a lot of Italian and a big smile :D He made us feel very comfortable and the questions we had were always answered in one way or another. Perhaps he is not always like this, but he shared a lot of positive energy during our stay!

The hotel is on the countryside and the roads are not always in a good condition. Apart from that, we liked everything about our stay.

Posizione, accoglienza e servizio. Il titolare è persona gentilissima che ama il suo lavoro e lo fa con grande passione. È un grande valore aggiunto. Sicuramente un posto da ritornarci quando si è nei paraggi.

Giuseppe (le propriétaire) était très accueillant et nous a donné des conseils pour le 1er soir (fête au village). Très belle vue sur la mer depuis la terrasse. Petit frigo avec des boissons à disposition. Parking gratuit.

Le petit-déjeuner peut être amélioré (peu de choix salés).
