The Sandbeck, Egton Bridge

Stayed for 5 nights, I don't usually sleep well when it's not my own bed but never had this issue here. Really good bay window seating area to just chill in the evenings before bed. Ideal place to just dump your belongings and explore Whitby all day.

Continental breakfast wasn't my cup of tea but that's it. Plenty of really good cafes to find (Lush being my favourite for a good greasy fry up).

Nice to have privacy not like some places our 2nd time staying on these premises please note bed was uncomfortable. Plenty of choice on breakfast

The bed

Location of room was fabulous...loved the quirky little lounge with brilliant views ..comfy settee Shower good ...toiletries good...couple more towels would be better though. Loved the independence of the room only with breakfast munchies available on landing. Easy to navigate checking into room and parking scratchcards ...parking was very easy too.

The bed ... very very poor mattress our backs are suffering...old and creaky ( the mattress not us! ) no support could definitely do with updating only thing that let the room down! Bit strange the bathroom area with no door but we did know about that before we booked but good job we're a settled comfortable couple wouldn't do for private people !

Nice clean place with fantastic views

The room was so clean and warm. The small breakfast was a good idea. The toilet was a very low flush. I left air freshener as the bathroom is quite open as described. We noticed the sitting area didn’t have blinds up at the window which was a shame because at nighttime I couldn’t sit and read as it became quite cool. Apart from that everything was good.
