Nel Cuore di Genova

This is an amazingly well equipped apartment with everything you could need including detergents for the washing machine, coffee machine with pods, the gift of fruit and focaccia on arrival was very much appreciated. The rooms are a really good size with air con in each bedroom and living room which was really needed during our stay. It’s close to the aquarium and old port where you can get the little train tour or the hop on hop off bus. The hosts were very helpful and directed us to a convenient local car park just a few minutes away.

I cannot fault the apartment and the hosts and it was very good value but you do have to be prepared for the surrounding hills and all the steps. It’s 41 steps up the main stairs to the apartment which is manageable but the building is surrounded by some quite steep slopes. Just something to bear in mind when you are doing your packing.

We loved our 2 nights at Nel Cuore di Genova and would definitely stay again. The apartment was spacious and comfortable for our family of 5 with 2 full sized bedrooms and an extra large main bedroom. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. The hosts were wonderful greeting us with fresh fruit and focaccia bread as well as plenty of information and suggestions for our first time in Genova. Highly recommend!

Wonderful location near outdoor restaurants, aquarium, and Hop on bus. It is quite hilly with 42 steps so it may not work for people with mobility issues, but it was a great place to stay!

Amazing property and hosts. Everything you want in an Italian stay!! The welcome was amazing, with fruit and bread supplied as a welcome gift. They also provided baby change, cot and other baby stuff.

There is no lift, not the fault of the owners/host just a warning to future guests; you will need to go up 2 flights of stairs, for a family to travel with large suitcases it’s hard, but can be done.

Very clean, comfortable beds, quiet area of the city and a lovely view on the uphill side. You can easily see that the place has been renovated and that it’s being handled with great care. Love the mix between old original furniture (amazing wardrobe) and new modern one. Kitchen is very functional and the hosts really make sure you feel welcomed!

Nothing to dislike. Just remember that Genova is no flat city, and that in addition the stairs to climb within the apartment building, you also have to climb some to reach Santa Maria di Castello. But then, you have an excuse to enjoy some well deserved focaccia. :)

We had a fantastic time in Genoa! The appartment was really big and light with nice views from the windows. The location in the old town is perfect. Evereything you needed was there!

We liked the updated features inside the property. The view of the city from the kitchen and dining room is priceless. The beds were comfortable. Proper kitchen. Appreciated the washer/dryer and strong Wi-Fi features. The best feature of this property is the hosts. Monica and Ernesto are incredible - more than 5 stars for them. They thought of everything, cold water, umbrellas, tea, and coffee. They're very accommodating most especially. Everything else is out of their control. Thank you, Monica and Ernesto. Stay here to have a feel of the old world but the amenities of the modern times.

It was hot. There were enough fans provided, but August is just brutal. We understand that this is located in a historic place, and they have preserved how it was when it was built so they couldn't outfit the unit with air-conditioning. The flights of stairs are tough if you have heavy luggage. There is also a challenging ascent from the car drop off.

The location of the apartment is good, it's easy to get to the tourist attractions or the train station by foot. The apartment was really clean and beautiful, had most of the neccessary appliances, and the hosts were kind and helpful.

The only inconvenience was the lack of proper air conditioning (there were ventilators), so it was quite hot and humid in the apartment.
