Maya Hostel El Nido

La salle de bain et douches communes pour dortoirs étaient très propres et personnel toujours présents à laver. Personnel très gentil et souriant. La piscine était extraordinaire, un gros WOW avec des enfants, un must pour les familles. Grand espace commun avec table, salon et bon resto sur place. Miam les nachos. En plus un 19h-20h verres gratuits rum and coke! Très apprécié après la journée au soleil. Bonne petite distance de el Nido que l'on a fait chaque jour avec nos enfants.

Plus difficile avec le wifi, mais parfait pour déconnecter ;)

Very clean, staff were friendly

This is a very cute and cozy hostel with a friendly atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. It was also very convenient to be able to book El Nido tours directly through the reception desk. The pool is adorable and has an absolutely stunning view, which really added to the overall experience. Overall, the hostel has a warm vibe and a lot of charm.

The hostel is located a bit far from the city center, which can make transportation less convenient. One major issue was the internet situation — there is almost no phone signal in the area, and during our last day the hostel’s Wi-Fi stopped working for more than 24 hours. Since there was no alternative solution provided, everyone was basically left disconnected, with guests even standing outside in pajamas trying to find signal. The hostel also offers El Nido tours through the reception, which is convenient, but the prices were noticeably higher compared to other agencies nearby.

The staff was sooo sweet nice! Especially the social host and the staff working in the restaurant! Nice rooftop view!!!

They didn’t clean my room once and I stayed there for 5 nights! I would have roomies arriving very late to a bunk that wasn’t made for them… the sheets had been used and the room hadn’t been cleaned. I even had to put the trashbin outside the room to be changed cause it was overfilled… The cleaning really needs to be better.

Personalen var väldigt trevlig & hjälpsamma, men framförallt Jade var väldigt trevlig & kunnig kring flera områden inom olika tours & transports. Också att dom hade happy hour, vilket bidrog till att folk kunde Connecta med varandra & skapa relationer med hjälp av Jade som host.

Ibland så var internet sämre & dom hade kunnat ha några solstolar istället för vanliga stolar vid poolen.

I had a pleasant stay at Maya Hostel. It offers good value for money, with a spacious room and the convenience of a private ensuite bathroom. However, the room is quite basic and wasn't the most comfortable. Note that there is no hairdryer available, so you might want to bring your own. ​On the plus side, they offer a good breakfast option at a very reasonable price. Location-wise, it’s a bit of a walk to the town center, but there are always tuk-tuks available right outside the door, which makes getting around very easy.

The access of the wifi wasn’t good

The staff was friendly and helpful.

Own food and drinks are forbidden in the hotel room! There was no soap by the sink. There was no towel rack in the bathroom. The shower floor sloped away from the drain, so water pooled on the floor. You can’t put a doormat in front of the bathroom door because it opens outward, so you end up tracking water from the shower into the room. It’s more of a youth hostel than a hotel; the amenities and facilities are designed accordingly, and that’s what evenings in the upper restaurant/bar are like. A plus for some, a downside for others.

The place is nice but NO WIFI ANYWHERE. Sometimes we could reach wifi in the bathroom but not strong. The pool wasn't clean when we were there. A little far from town in my opinion but close to the beach great sunsets there.
