La Veranda Sul Mare

We loved, loved, LOVED this house and everything about it. We wish we never left. So cozy, so quaint, so charming yet spacious, comfortable and modern at the same time, this is a gem of a villa hidden in a little lemon tree grove among the pines and fig trees. We were completely smitten with the house’s amenities. The private access to the sea only a few steps away from a cool and shady first floor terrace completely blew our minds. Though there is a “proper” beach just a 5 minute walk from the place, it held little interest to us. Why would it, when in this house we could simply leisurely walk out of the kitchen and almost immediately plunge right into the clear azure waters whenever the fancy stroke? The second floor terrace was ideal for sunbathing during the day and reading contentedly in the evening, while enjoying a glass of rose and the view of the rose-tinted sky and the deep blue sea. The rooms were large and airy, with lovely touches of antique decor. The hosts were terrific - hospitable, friendly, and very helpful. They thought of everything, really, there was nothing we lacked. Our stay was so enjoyable we’re not going to lie, there were quite a few tears shed when our time there came to an end. We do hope to come here again (and again, and again, and again).
