Noise from passing train from time to time

Wonderful charm of a traditional Italian home. Old fashioned with great marble floors and great pictures. Lots of natural light and also all the traditional shutters on the windows.

Like it all

The location was great for transport links and being near shops and restaurants. It had cooking utensils and basic amenities. I Loved the double glazed windows that blocked out trains going pass on bedroom. The mosiac floorng was beauitful and had plenty of knick knacks ornaments and artworks...very secure property felt safe and comfortable. The oven broke down and the owner kindly brought us a microwave.

The bed was 2 single mattresses with a memory double topper...not very comfortable so not slept good at all The radiators need bleeding as were not hot to touch....the property had not wifi...so difficult to plan stuff using own data on phone. I think property needs decluttering of ornaments and personal affects, kitchen equipment organised.....oven,. heating, Mattress and possibly bedding updated for changing seasons.

Its position is close to everything you need. Its spacious although bathroom is very tight. Its like a time warp where time has stood still. This makes it very restful.

The property is well worn. It has been kept pretty much as the Nonna left it. This means there is lots of clutter and a lot of things are worn out. There are masses of very dated glassware but its all on the small side. We needed to buy a couple of medium drinking glasses even though there were dozens of glasses and cups. Some lights and electrical sockets didn’t work and the microwave oven was so old that it just didnt function. The Living room seating is generally worn out and we found it impossible to sit comfortably for any length of time. But if you are keen to experience living the old way then none of this may matter. Its charming but run-down.
