Il Fiorino di Badia

Extremely nice and friendly host, made us feel like at bome. Everything was perfect in terms of timimg and support. The kids received even surprise sweets for the Epiphany. The hosts make their own excellent wine and olive oil (from that marvellous area) which we bought to bring bome. We hope to come back soon.

The host, Bianca greeted us after a long day riding our bikes from Florence. She showed us to our room and made us feel welcome. She prepared a pasta dinner for us and plate of meat and cheese. We enjoyed a bottle of the estate wine and felt right at home. The view from the deck outside our room was exceptional.

The location is beautiful, but riding from Greve on bikes is extremely challenging. Not the property’s fault, we signed up for it, but be warned if that is your plan. The requirement to separate and remove all your trash is understandable, however we are not familiar with the recycling and trash requirements in Italy so it was a little bit of a hassle before checkout.

The location is amazing looking down over the monastery. Views are spectacular. The bed looked a bit lumpy but was really comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen. Lovely outdoor seating area and private garden.

It was a bit hard to find as the name on the gate is different to the booking.com one, so it looks like you have arrived at a private property. The staff member asked us what wine we would like on our arrival from their own vineyard. We thought this was complimentary but asked to pay for it on leaving. But I didn't have any cash and couldn't use my card. Just a little clarity on this would be helpful. But I wouldn't let it put me off on returning.

This place was paradise. And Bianca the owner was so so so sweet

The villa we stayed in was old. But it only added to the authentic Italien Tuscany feeling

We loved the place, a stone house with a fireplace and a nice backyard to have breakfast.

Heat and fireplace wood are not included and it is needed during winter months. The place is quite far from everything, although this could be ok if you are looking for something quiet.
