La Casa Delle Olive

- Elvio and Arianna were extremely nice and helpful hosts, especially with our little son. They provided a baby bed, plenty of toys, they showed us their beautiful garden and gave us great tips for what to visit around - Very clean and well renovated apartment, adding a modern and functional touch while keeping the spirit of the old house.

I cannot find adequate words to describe the beautiful setting among the olive tree estate and the amazingly modern, stylish and comfortable apartment where we wish we could have stayed for an extended time! Instead of thinking of La Casa delle Olive as a place to stay on the way to a destination, this IS THE DESTINATION for a wonderful stay in Sicily! More importantly however, Arianna and Elvio are the friendliest and kindest hosts who welcomed us and made us feel as if we were family. We were determined to speak Italian, so we really appreciated their patience and helpfulness when we faltered, but don’t worry as they also speak fluent English. We see by others’ comments that they are extremely accommodating to individual needs, and their “royal treatment” is standard for all their guests. We would love to take their cooking classes in the future, that may be arranged in advance. We went to Gagliano Castelferrato for the first time in September to visit the birthplace of my ancestors. Arianna, Elvio and family went far beyond our dreams by introducing us to the town and helping us to make connections. When we were looking for suggestions for a restaurant to dine, they instead invited us to have dinner with them in their home with an amazing home-cooked meal of regional specialties! This is not something to expect, but is indicative of the friendly nature of this beautiful famiglia! We can't wait to return! Grazie Arianna y Elvio! Arrivederci!

Everything was wonderful! We liked everything about our stay! The location is a bit remote but was exactly where we needed on our trip to Gagliano Castelferrato.
