Deepmoor Farmhouse, Doveridge, Derbys.

From start to finish this was a fabulous weekend away for 3 generations. It is a typical farmhouse. The house was sparkly clean. All the bedrooms have comfy beds and lovely bedding. The locally made bread, milk and orange were a delight. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The cold room is exactly that..... cold great for storing drinks etc. There is a large fridge and large freezer. The heating system was amazing the house was toasty warm. Marie and Larry were so friendly and welcoming so were the livstock. The grandkids loved the ride on tractors but much prefered the big tractor and meeting the donkeys. It is dog friendly. If someone has mobility issues there is a double room with ensuite shower room down stairs with only the front door step to negotiate. I would highly reccomend this property

Nothing to dislike

A beautifully restored 100+ year old farmhouse with so much charm. The place is cozy, peaceful, and full of character. The lovely couple who look after it made us feel so welcome—couldn’t have asked for better hosts.

There’s nothing you can’t like at this property

Private, comfortable enough room for everyone. The little extras such as plenty of toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, wash tabs, washing up liquid. Kitchen fully equipped

Lots of flies however to be expected as next to a farm. Host had left 2 lots of fly spray so all good

Our stay at this unique farmhouse was truly unforgettable. The location is absolutely ideal, offering a quick and easy drive to Alton Towers, which made our family trip a breeze. The property's layout is brilliantly designed, with spacious areas that gave both adults and kids their own perfect retreats. Sleeping in this one-of-a-kind setting was an amazing experience in itself. What really set our stay apart were the incredible hosts. They truly go above and beyond, immersing you in a genuine farmhouse experience with their fantastic hospitality. This property fostered a wonderful sense of togetherness, providing the perfect backdrop for family games and cherished moments. It was the ideal setting for creating lasting memories and pure enjoyment. We can't wait to return!

The location was central for 3 different groups of our family so we all had equal travelling time, perfect hosts Marie and Larry, lovely area to sit outside and very quiet we really wanted to stay longer!

Nothing at all

The house is beautiful and in the perfect location, we stayed with friends ahead of our wedding and it was amazing. Plenty of parking, a table big enough for everyone and the rooms were perfect (especially the kids room). Thank you so much for being such amazing hosts!

Absolutely fantastic! Had everything we needed and more. Perfect layout for our group of families to spend time together. Kids really enjoyed it too.

Having to leave! We wish we could have stayed longer

There was so much space for 7 guests, little touches such as the welcome basket of bread, milk, juice, eggs, chocolate and prosecco. The Location was very quiet on a working farm which was lovely and close to a pub within walking distance. The beds were all very comfortable and the living room very cozy with wonderful Christmas decorations. The kitchen is very large with a cold room attached with everything you could possibly need. There is also a conventional oven and aga and extensive cookware and glasses. Marie and Larry are very friendly and made sure that everything was perfect from booking to during our stay. Thank you to you both and we will definitely be booking again in the future, we cant wait!
