I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately it was a very unpleasant experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were only given two old, washed-out towels that left fluff all over the skin after use. Considering it is the middle of winter in Cape Town and extremely cold, I requested an extra blanket or duvet just to stay warm, only to be told the hotel did not have any available. Completely unacceptable for a hospitality establishment during winter. The bedding was equally disappointing. The mattress covers looked like they had been used for years, covered in stains, and the sheets had an awful smell that made the room feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I had no alternative accommodation and had no choice but to endure the stay. The bathroom situation made things even worse. After every shower, water would flood out onto the floor, leaving the entire area constantly wet. There wasn’t even a mop or anything provided to clean it up, so I was forced to use one of my own sweaters to dry the floor. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and complete disregard for guest comfort made this one of the worst hotel stays I’ve experienced. I would not recommend staying here unless major improvements are made.
