The breakfast was a great buffet, but get there early. The activity choices are great and it's so relaxing to be there.

"Amazing spot! This is a total gem!"

10.0

Amazing place with so much to do as guests. Free mini golf, roller rink, tons of hiking trails and access to rmnp with helpful instructions. Great pool, laundry facilities. Just can’t say enough good things about this place! Our kids had a blast, it was so much better than a hotel or air bnb situation. Trina at the front desk is an angel. She went above and beyond to serve our family, who is traveling on a ministry sabbatical. We absolutely loved our time here and will be back when possible! Thank you!!

"We'll be back!"

9.0

I love all of the activities available for no additional charge. For the activities that did have additional charges, I feel the fee was very reasonable. The location is absolutely stunning, and there is no lack of opportunity to be active.

This was advertised, but I didn't like it that there wasn't a microwave or at least a mini fridge in the room. We traveled with a baby and needed to heat up a bottle and keep milk cold, so that made it a little more difficult. I would also say that every single water fountain we saw needed a filter change. The on-site food was pretty pricey and it just "okay."

"Short but sweet!"

3.0

Felt nickel and dimed at every corner. The $60 (2 adults 1 under 12 and 1 free) meal was inedible but it was the $3 (subpar at best) coffee that was the icing on the cake.

We could have stayed in Estes Park for a lesser amount and with more complimentary amenities attached. You should not allow guests to stay less than 2 nights as you are not a hotel.

"Meh, there are better places that value their guests."

Estes is always great. Location is beautiful

I really want to give a rave review based on how much my kids liked Estes Park. But the review is YMCA of the Rockies. The place is old, run down with aging furniture, broken doors, dirty scuffed floors and carpet from a different era. Bathroom. It has what you need. A toilet and a shower. They function, water is hot and drain works. Unfortunately it smells like mildew, which is more than a little unpleasant. The ceiling fan hasn't seen a cleaning cloth in a long while. Bedroom, bedding and sleeping area. Beds aren't made. Patrons must unpack bedding and make beds after their trip to Estes. Towels are clean and abundant. The mattresses are THIN, old spring mattresses with nearly no support, so if you need any level of support from your mattress be prepared for a back, arm and neck ache throughout the night and in the morning. Rooms are very hot (went in July). No AC with a floor fan. Again, I repeat, no Air conditioning available. This isn't a remote place and on demand AC units that are used in, for example, rural Thailand for lack of infrastructure is doable with very limited resources/minimal investment, which Estes is not on that level, absolutely 1st world in every way. Many Isolated cabins have them them. My daughter couldn't sleep as the thermostat showed 81 degrees in the room at bedtime. Even with the window open and the fan on high, it took hours for the room to cool down. There is no refrigerator so bring a cooler and ice if you want to have perishable food in your room. Worst of all, check in is at 6pm. International standard is 1pm. Late check-in 2pm. I have traveled to 30 countries, from developing nations to presidential suites in the EU, not a single one had a check in after 3pm. Coupled with a 10am check out (standard is 11am). They are squeezing customers on both sides. When a business deviates that far from the standard they end up in the space of unethical/ deceptive business practices.

"For the price, I’d expect nicer accommodations, I guess it packed a lot of people in with camp style bunk beds. Good va"

The scenery and amenities on the property were exceptional

“Family room” in “lodge” was much more like a dorm/summer camp feel than staying in a hotel or lodge. Loud, crowded with youth and adults, rooms old, not well appointed and felt kind of dingy, not super clean.
